1. Do Roman Catholics Accept Jesus Christ as Their Savior?

Being a Roman Catholic is not the same as being involved in a cult, in this author's view, as the degree of involvement in specific areas threaten the Roman Catholic person to be acting as a cult member.  Roman Catholicism has absolutely developed cult practices from traditions and teachings that:

As one example of cult practices is those Roman Catholics that participate in prayers to Mary.  This is just one example of many heard dialogues:

  1. Some Roman Catholics will state: "they do not worship Mary and prayers to Mary points their attention to Jesus Christ".
  2. Other Roman Catholics and all Protestants will not pray to Mary and state "their prayers are to the Father in Jesus Christ's Name only".
  3. When a Roman Catholics prays to God the Father in Jesus Christ's name, then other Roman Catholics will state that "You need to pray and focus on Mary!"

There are many sincere, God loving Roman Catholics who are genuinely encountering Christ and being Born-Again.  Some feel led by the Holy Spirit to leave the Roman Catholic Church, while others remain, hoping to witness to a deeper understanding of God within their community along with not being involved in the cult areas.

This author was selected at a young age to be groomed for the priesthood and became intimately familiar with Roman Catholic procedures, rituals, and beliefs.  At twenty-three, during a season of profound suffering, a perceptive and compassionate Roman Catholic Priest offered counsel that ultimately contributed to the author's departure from Roman Catholicism after a transitional period within a Charismatic Catholic parish.  I still recall how the Charismatic Catholic Church avoided all areas of Mary veneration, Mary worship, and all areas that were not scripturally based.

It is difficult to understand how Christians across some denominations often accept practices without careful examination, even when those practices are questionable or clearly wrong.  Many justify them by assuming that anything done for God must automatically be acceptable to God.

Too many Roman Catholics defend evolving dogma that, upon examination, is demonstrably incorrect.  Many believe the Roman Catholic Church is incapable of error, reasoning that God would never allow its leaders to go astray.  Yet this mirrors the same problem seen in the Old Testament era, when many Pharisees and all Sadducees within the Sanhedrin resisted correction even as Jesus Christ fulfilled the very prophecies they claimed to uphold.

  1. Roman Catholics are taught that membership in the Catholic Church ensure their entrance into Heaven, and this is absolutely not true!  Membership to Catholicism has nothing to do with entrance into Heaven as only our relationship with accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior is the ONLY entrance into Eternity with God!
    (a) Our works in life determine our rewards in Heaven.
  2. Roman Catholics are taught that anyone that is not a Catholic is not going to Heaven for many reasons such as the requirements of the Roman Catholic Eucharist, Confession, and other requirements.  Besides the blasphemy of this incorrect statement of required activities, when the Catholic is taught these incorrect rules, then this has caused:
    (a) Catholics to not listen to any other Christian person's perspective on scriptures that is not a Catholic, and
    (b) Not to listen to questioning of Catholicism's controversially and scripturally incorrect dogmas, traditions, and beliefs.
When the Antichrist performs the Abomination of Desolation Event in the Temple in Jerusalem at the start of Tribulation Period, then he will formerly proclaim himself as god with the help of the woman that is sitting upon a scarlet colored beast that some books on prophecy state is the Roman Catholic Church.  The Antichrist primary territory is the former Roman Empires areas in Europe, Middle-East, and Northern Africa which is prophesized in many scriptures such as Nebuchadnezzar's dream interpreted by the Prophet Daniel.

The Antichrist eventually destroys the woman that rides the Beast, meaning the World's religions, to centralize his power over people, receive false worship, and to  expand his own glory.  The question overlooked by Roman Catholics is how does Rome, Italy evade the Tribulation Period's Antichrist when in the Antichrist's territory?

The entity of Roman Catholicism is the NOT the true and only Church.  All PEOPLE of all Denominations are the True Church when they are Born-Again which has nothing to do with membership.

There is amazing reasons why the Rapture occurs before the 70th Week of Daniel that contains the Tribulation Period.  There will be many people that claim they are followers of Jesus Christ when they are like the Foolish Virgins that have not truly accepted Jesus Christ as their PERSONAL Savior.  These people will not be Raptured.  This is one of the major problems in the Roman Catholic Church that has people believing they have Salvation because of membership only!

2. Confirmation of the Major Problem that are the Current Roman Catholic Church

It is increasingly clear that both Catholic leadership and laity often struggle with scriptural literacy, producing doctrines built on verses removed from their contextual framework.  No verse stands alone.  Every passage is illuminated by its surrounding text and by the broader network of supporting Scriptures that safeguard its meaning.

God consistently uses thousands of idioms, patterns, encryptions, double references, foreshadowing, rituals, and so much more with exponential consistency that spans the Old and New Testament by forty authors in sixty-six books written that are separated by centuries to authenticate the scriptures.   These prove that the author is from outside of all Time Domains.

  Roman Catholic Teaching Analysis
1 Mary is the Queen of Heaven and
The Blessed Virgin is and Must Be Called Our 'Co-Redemptrix' - Catholicism.org
(If the link is taken down, click here.)
FALSE on both.   (a) There is no Queen of Heaven.   Clothed with the Sun and Moon reference by Catholics is referring to Israel.   Scripture interprets scripture.
(b) Mary has no biological link with Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit placed the embryo of Jesus Christ in her womb.
(c) Jesus Christ is the Savior.  Mary does not have any small are large role in Salvation.
(d) Notice that Catholicism.org stated on November 17, 2025 that Mary must be called the Co-Redemptrix, but Pope Francis on March 24, 2021 stated Mary is not the Co-Redemptrix. Pope Leo XIV also reaffirmed that Mary is not the co-Redemptrix.
2 Repeated and regular Mass and Eucharist required for Salvation FALSE.  (a) This is ridiculousness as the Crucifixion Event was once and final.  Celebrating a worship ceremony and a Eucharist is a wonderful idea when understanding the significance only!
(b) There are many places in the world that do NOT have a Catholic Mass to attend because there is a shortage of Catholic Priests to perform a Mass.  Perform an AI question on Roman Catholic communities not having a resident Priest.  Do these Roman Catholics, that do not have the ability to attend Mass, then are condemned to the Lake of Fire?
3 Only Roman Catholics will go to Heaven because only Catholics eat the Eucharist and sip from a Chalice
Catholic Doctrine: Is the Eucharist necessary for salvation?  From Catholic website
FALSE.  Catholic doctrine base this incorrectly on John 6:53-56 which is right after Jesus Christ feeds the 5,000 with a few loafs of bread and dried fish.  For a beginning understanding, read the topic on the Salvation Process and then Eat This Bread Topic.  There are three scriptures in the Old Testament directing us to not drink blood so there is a specific understanding on what the Eucharist and Wine represent.
4 Membership to Roman Catholic Church Required for Salvation FALSE: Salvation requires asking for Salvation is a prayer to Jesus Christ with heartfelt recognition.
5 Infant water baptism is required for a baby in case of death so that the baby will go to Heaven FALSE: Water Baptism is not required for Salvation for anyone.  Additionally, babies in the womb, and born, along with many other people are protected by the Age of Accountability.
6 Catholic Church Apologizes for many mistakes and evil since the beginning that are absolutely appallingly against the scriptures TRUE: Pope John Paul apologized for 2,000 Years of sexism, racism, hatred of Jews, and violence in defense of Catholic Faith.  Note the Roman Catholic Church was founded 313 AD (NOT at Pentecost).

"The most sweeping papal apology for the sins of the Catholic Church both past and present was delivered by Pope John Paul II on March 12, 2000, during the Great Jubilee Year's first Sunday of Lent in St. Peter's Basilica"

7 Catholic use of religious icons and pictures use for worshipped are scriptural correct FALSE: Read the topic on Pictures or Images of Jesus Christ
8 A person canonized as a saint is already in heaven and is not required to go Purgatory for more cleansing of sins.  Others may need to go to Purgatory and can have prayers made for release. FALSE: Purgatory is blasphemy against God!  There is no place in the scriptures that nullifies and replaces the finished work of the payments for sins at the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  The crucifixion is the greatest prophecy in history, given the exact day it would happen 173,880 days in advance!  Jesus Christ's crucifixion occurred on Wednesday, 5-April-0032 AD.  A saint in the scriptures is someone that has Salvation and does not require suffering to obtain entrance into Heaven.  See the topic on Rewards in Heaven to understand that our actions in life determine only our rewards.
9 Catholic Dogma states that only Roman Catholic Priests and the higher clergy, in the act of receiving a Confession, have the power to forgive all sins that does NOT require God.  This is according to many Catholic sources such as CatholicAnswers.com.

FALSE: ONLY GOD can forgive sins and the ORIGINAL Apostles as read in John 20:21-23!  Roman Catholic teaching states that this ability was continued through "apostolic succession" to Bishops and Priests.
(a) Imagine someone throughout history could go commits horrific sins and simply go to any priest and get forgiveness with no consequences?  In the year1095, Pope Urban II offered full remission of sins to crusaders.
(b) Imagine receiving forgiveness by a priest that gives the sinner the belief that they can continue sinning because they can simply go to Confession?  Continuing in this hypothetical scenario, this same sinner after continued confessions to a priest, then discovers the priest was a pedophile and worse that then destroys the confidence in the priest and God!  Catholics take the scripture verse James 5:16 out of context with surrounding passage:

Notice in the James 5:13-20, the instructions are:
* To the plural elders and praying over him in the name of the Lord, which is a request to God.
* Sarcastically, are Catholic Clergy grouping together with others and then anointing with oil?
* The request is not assumed to be done because the righteous elders are praying.
* The Lord will raise him up clarifies that God is performing the raising and relinquishing from a sin or health problem.
* The example of Elijah is given because Elijah was God's Prophet where Elijah still was yielding in prayer to the power of God. Sampson, who was not righteous, received his strength back in immanent death.
* Anyone of us, as a Christian, can act as God's ambassador to witness and pray for a sinner.
10 Roman Catholics confuse Hell with both Purgatory and the Lake of Fire TRUE: (a) Lower Sheol is the holding place for all people without Salvation.  These people will stay there until the Great White Thrown of Judgment.
(b) Upper Sheol was the good holding place for all people with Salvation through justification by Faith that required Jesus Christ to have the Crucifixion event.  Jesus Christ took them out after His death on the Cross.
(c) The entire Universe, Lower Sheol, the empty Upper Sheol, and the Heavens are destroyed at the Great White Thrown of Judgment before Eternity Starts.  Those without Salvation are not allowed to see the future heavens and future eternity!
(d) The Lake of Fire is the final destination for Lucifer, Fallen Angels, Demons, and all humans without Salvation.

(SEE the Hell topic for a full scriptural explanation with descriptions for Lower and Upper Sheol, Lake of Fire, Other Areas, and Twelve Areas of Suffering in the Lake of Fire.)
(SEE the Purgatory topic for a full scriptural explanation that explains Purgatory is blasphemy against Jesus Christ.)
(SEE the Time Domains topic to understand our Universe is a subset of a larger reality.)
11 The SSPX (Society of Saint Pius X) founded n 1970 is a Traditionalist Roman Catholic Priestly Society founded in 1970 with canonical conflicts with the Vatican. TRUE: (a) There are Priests and Bishops being excommunicated and then reinstated.
(b) Excommunications occurred in 1988 and then in 2026
(c) Headquarters: Menzingen, Switzerland
(d) Current Membership: 700 priests and estimated 1,482 others
(e) Has a Global presence
James 5:13-20 13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. 18 Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit. 19 My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, 20 let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
John 20:21-23 21 Again Jesus said, Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone's sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.

Can Roman Catholics be Born-Again and have a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ despite incorrect teachings and wrong beliefs.  This author would state absolutely "YES" that a Roman Catholic can receive Salvation through the Holy Spirit at a Roman Catholic Mass or Event as God's Word never goes out void as read in Isaiah 55:10-12.  Additional points:

Isaiah 55:10-12 10 For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater; 11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.

3. A Summary History of How Catholicism became Unscriptural and Corrupted

The Roman Catholic summary:

1 Catholics, are told that the Apostle Peter was the first bishop of Rome and consider him their first Pope when there is only contrived evidence that Peter even visited Rome.  Note that the institutionalized form of Catholicism evolved over centuries, particularly after Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity in the 4th century AD.
(a) As analogy, the First Settlers of the future United States began in the 1492, and their descendents and others would not be called Americans (citizens of the United States) until independence of the year 1776.
(b) There was coequally existing Churches, in many other areas of the world, that had no connections with their beginnings with the future Church at Rome.  These other Churches had roots from the Apostles and others spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ that were not evangelized from Peter.
(c) Claiming all the Churches of the Earth were:
    * Formed initially from the Roman Catholic Church,
    * That only the Roman Catholic Church was a true Church, and
    * All other Churches had exited from the Roman Catholic Church
is ignorant!
2 The Roman Emperor Constantine, a converted Christian that may have been a political expedient choice, played a significant role in shaping the structure and practices of early Catholicism, including convening the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, which began some of the Catholic doctrines.
3 The system recognized today as Catholicism
  (a) With its distinct religious hierarchy,
  (b) Rituals that developed over time and now accepted as tradition,
  (c) Theological interpretations based partially on scriptures with tradition taking precedent, and
  (d) Adopting wardrobes from pagan religions for acceptance and the opulence with power gained,
gradually and became more formalized slowly.  Today, there are still more and more additions to pronounced edicts of spiritual doctrine not based on scriptures, or often taken scriptures completely out of the context written with the grouped scriptural passages.
4 The most influential and significant men, that were involved in the development of the Catholic Faith, include Augustine of Hippo, Jerome, and Gregory the Great:
Melito, Bishop of Sardis (100-180 AD): Highly esteemed of all the early Bishops in the early Church.  His residence was near Symrna in western Anatoia
Augustine of Hippo (354 430 AD): A North African theologian and philosopher.
(a) Augustine is one of the most influential Catholic thinkers in history.
(b) His works, especially Confessions and The City of God, helped shape Western Christianity and Catholic doctrine.
(c) Augustine emphasized original sin, grace, and the importance of God's sovereignty in Salvation.
(d) He also developed the concept of and influential in forming ecclesiastical structures.
Jerome (c. 347 420 AD): Jerome was a scholar and priest best known for translating the Bible into Latin, creating the Vulgate, which became the standard Bible of the catholic institution for many centuries.
(a) Affirmed the Old Testament cannon that was established by Melito with comments of high regard.
(b) He was a rigorous ascetic and theologian, and his commentaries were adopted into Catholicism.
(c) Jerome's work in making Scripture inaccessible in Latin had a profound impact on the how Catholicism kept scripture away from the populace ability to read in their own language.
Gregory the Great I (c. 540 604 AD): Gregory was pope from 590 to 604 AD.
(a) Is considered one of the greatest catholic leaders of his era.
(b) His papacy strengthened the role of the papal office and laid the groundwork for the medieval papacy's influence.
(c) Gregory was known for reforming catholic liturgy, which contributed to the development of Gregorian chant.
(d) His emphasis was on pastoral care and missionary work, particularly in sending missions to convert the Anglo-Saxons in England.
(e) He also wrote extensively on catholic theology and clergy duties.
5 The term Catholic (meaning universal ) was used early on to distinguish the institution from various other religions, but it wasn t a singular event or person that created Catholicism it was an evolving process influenced by political, social, and religious factors.
6 Peter affirms Paul's epistles as scriptures as read in "2 Peter 3:15-16".
(a) This means Peter had the collection of all the writings of Paul.
(b) Paul's writing are the primary influential scriptures for the Christian life.

2 Peter 3:15-16 15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote unto you; 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; wherein are some things hard to be understood, which the ignorant and unstedfast wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

The major negative and not scriptural milestone events in the evolving beliefs and traditions of the Roman Catholic church are listed next with notable:

4. Is There A Pervasive Problem that is Ignored with Compliancy?

Three observable problems from the Roman Catholic Administration ignores and hides when possible:

  1. Is there a pervasive problem that is ignored with compliancy dealing with the problem of Roman Catholics Priests (Clergy) and sexual misconduct?
  2. Is a Priest in the Roman Catholic Church being forced into Celibacy causing or attracting men into sexual problems that include criminal deviancy?
  3. Is there Roman Catholic training and education for their Clergy to avoid, stop, get psychological help, and to report?

Note that there is absolutely easily found problems with Pastors of many other Christian Denominations caught in Adultery, Embezzlement, and worse.  These Pastors, in all the cases that this author has read in the media, resulted in the Pastor's removal or the majority of Pastor's congregation leaving.

If anyone in any leadership role in any Christian Denomination participates in specific sins listed in the topic "Removal of a Anyone in Church Leadership" then they absolutely must resign and never return to any role of leadership as the action of leadership is blasphemy against God!

This author's father, after retiring, volunteered to manage the Roman Catholic parish's finances a role that involved banking responsibilities and much more. During those many wonderful years of camaraderie and service, my father also endured one deeply painful experience: witnessing, and in a small way participating in, the removal of a priest who had been reported for pedophilic behavior. To my father's shock, the priest was not dismissed or reported to authorities, but simply transferred to another parish.

I personally knew this priest as well; he had joined my family for dinner on several occasions and had always seemed like a kind and pleasant man. That contrast between outward demeanor and the gravity of the allegations made the situation even more disturbing.

The link below is provided to illustrate how widespread these issues have been, and how often meaningful accountability both criminal and civil has been lacking. In any corporation, if an employee were allowed to harm others, the organization itself could face civil liability, and in some cases executives could be held criminally responsible. Standard procedure in most institutions requires that abuse be reported to Human Resources, the employee dismissed, and evidence turned over to law enforcement when warranted.

For decades, this basic process did not occur within the Roman Catholic Church. Instead, many cases were handled internally, quietly, and without the transparency or legal accountability expected in other institutions.
