There are two incidents in the scriptures where there was an attempt by
men
to forcibly have sexual relations with one or two male guests of a home.
The two incidents were symptoms
of far worse sinful problems against God and people.
The first is
the well-known Sodom and Gomorra event, and the second is lesser known
city of Gibeah event. These are some of the commonalities of the two events:
- The men were using force to enter a home, and they announced
their intentions to have forced violent sexual interaction.
- The participants were so brazen (bold without shame) which indicates they were not
concerned about others seeing what they were doing.
- From the inference in the scriptures, both incident indicates
the cities provided protection, were complacent, and apathetic.
- God saw the cities as not having righteousness at a very
depraved level, that was more than sexual, with evidence in many, many areas.
- The two events have the same sinful areas continuing throughout
history.

City of Gibeah Event that is Parallel to Sodom and Gomorra's
Event
The city of Gibeah event occurred in the times of Judges, and the city was one city of
many cities that were part of
an area of inhabitants from the Tribe of Benjamin. The
scriptural passage of Judges chapter 20 describes "worthless
men" that will, with force, rape a guest of a home. The
guest was a Levite man travelling with his concubine wife and servant.
The Levite man was a guest of a owner of a home, along with wife and servant. The owner of the home, by the
custom of "sacred duty", was to protect a
guest to the best of their abilities even over the wellbeing of their own home
and family. See many
internet websites on the ancient custom. The "worthless men" would have known
about the custom, as did the men in the Sodom and Gomorra event.
In the Gibeah event, the men eventually abducted the Levite man's wife
concubine after initially wanting the Levite man for sexual relations. There are some readers, including this author, of this scriptural passage
that would ask:
- Why did the Levite man even offer his wife concubine?
- Was the Levite man a weak-man?
- Why didn't the Levite man fight to the death to protect his
concubine wife?
- Why did the Levite man give his concubine wife where
he should have given himself which would be a form of protection for his
concubine wife?
We are unfortunately not given the full dialogue and
events of the full confrontation, and it
can be inferred by verse 24 that the worthless men decided eventually they
wanted the woman, and possibly the men at the home were told that everyone at the home would be murdered if there was any resistance.
This incident, that may have been happening to all visitors of cities of
Benjamin, was placed in the scriptures for many reasons which God had us to
understand and learn from the far ranging consequences.
The Levite's wife concubine was so horribly abused physically and sexually
that the action caused her death shortly after getting released in the morning
at dawn. There is not enough words to fully and fairly describe the
repugnant, satanic, and gross actions of the worthless men, the people of the
city of Gibeah to allow it, and most importantly the torture felt by the
Levite's concubine wife!
Judges 20:22-26 We find out
shortly the worthless men had murdered the woman. |
22 While they were celebrating, behold, the
men of the city, certain
worthless men, surrounded the house, pushing one another at the
door; and they spoke to the owner of the house, the old man, saying,
“Bring out the man who entered your house that we may have relations
with him.” 23 Then the man, the owner of
the house, went out to them and said to them, “No, my brothers, please
do not act so wickedly. Since this man has come into my house, do not
commit this vile sin. 24 Here is my virgin
daughter and the man’s concubine. Please let me bring them out, then
rape them and do to them whatever you wish. But do not commit this act
of vile sin against this man.” 25 But the
men would not listen to him. So the man
seized his concubine and brought
her outside to them; and they raped her and abused her all night until
morning, then let her go at the
approach of dawn. 26 As the day
began to dawn, the woman came and fell down at the doorway of the man’s
house where her master was, until full daylight. |
The act of the worthless men ended up causing a civil war in the nation of
Israel because the Levite sent messages to all the other tribes of the event for
justice to prevail against all that were involved in the murder. The action taken by the Levite man was to cut his
concubine wife
into pieces and sent to the other Tribes of Israel to show the barbarity.
This action reflected:
- The barbarity of both the worthless men and the tribe of Benjamin for
not preventing and obviously condoning with apathy,
- The tribe of Benjamin did not exercise judicial consequences,
- Most importantly, there was no protection from anyone in the tribe of
Benjamin.
When the other tribes came to Gibeah, the people of the city would not relinquish the "worthless men".
God then instructs several actions that had the other tribes of the nation of Israel to go to war and nearly
eliminated the entire tribe of Benjamin. Each action from the other tribes was prayerfully confirmed over many
days. There was only minimal causalities for the other tribes of Israel.
At the end of this civil war, the nearly wiped out tribe of Benjamin had to
have additional virgin women from the other Tribes come and become wives
so that there would be offspring for the tribe of Benjamin to be replenished as
directed by God.
There are many parallels of the Sodom and Gomorra event with Gibeah event in the scriptures.
The "worthless men" from Gibeah and
other cities of the Benjamites caused a heinous consequence of suffering and
death.
Notice the similarities and differences with the City of Gibeah (CoG) Incident and
Sodom and Gomorah (SaG) incident:
- Both CoG and SaG had men trying to obtain sexual intercourse with the same gender,
where the CoG men were only showing a preference that was not limited.
- The CoG, after initially wanting the Levite, abducted the Levite guest's concubine wife with brutal physical raping
and sexual torture
causing her death.
- Both the owners of the homes in the CoG and SaG incidents offered
their own daughters first as part of Sacred Duty
ancient custom.
- As detailed in the next sections, the SaG people were very similar to
the CoG people. The people SaG did not even have ten righteous people
in the their two major cities of SaG and surrounding towns.
- The disturbing realization is the CoG people were one of the tribes of
Israel that should have had fear of God and acted with moral righteousness.
- God was consulted continuously for the proper actions
(a) When the other tribes of Israel went
first to bring the "worthless men" to justice,
(b) What to do when all the cities of the Benjamites protected the worthless
men, and
(b) When going to war against all the Benjamite cities over several days.
- In the battles that followed, the other tribes of
Israel nearly righteously killed the entire tribe of Benjamin. God's
commitment to His Promises made for all the tribes of Israel stopped the
full extinction from happening to the tribe of Benjamin as read in the
several chapters of the Gibeah's incident.
- At the finish of the battles, God has the other tribes of Israel force the tribe of Benjamin
into peace with specific directions. The remnant of
men in the Benjamite tribe were given directions to marry virgin women from
the other tribes and raise children to have a future for
the tribe of Benjamin.
- The worthless men were most likely righteously killed in the civil war,
and their Judgment from God had all of the lives lost on their sins recorded
against them.
As stated above, and additionally in the entirety of this topic, the parallel
conclusion of the city of Gibeah with the Sodom and Gomorra is there is not a distinction
between the two events. There was the protection, compliancy, endorsement, and
even condoning of evil, and God saw the areas not having righteousness in the
people.
Some relevant points for today where rhetorically,
is our current civilization a
greater reflection of Gibeah?
- Note that the physical abuse of human beings with sexual actions
has never stopped in history unto our very day. Simple, but
not recommended to do, Internet searches can produce links to
websites where there is
(a) sexual torture,
(b)
snuff videos,
(c) Pedophiles on the
Dark Web, and
(d) Satanic ritual murders with initial sexual raping on the Dark
Web
which means there
is financial gain and no lack of interested viewers.
(d.1) Adolf
Hitler's chief executioner at the Concentration Camps of World War
II,
Adolf Eichmann, along with other prison personnel, were participating in sexual
torture and sexual climaxes at the site of death.
(d.2) Serial
Killers, in so may court cases when examining their crimes, show
they are also into extremely morbid, heinous, and torture sexual
deviancies. There is great deal of psychological disorders,
that are of a lesser extent, that have always plagued God's peoples
as also evidenced with people walking into a Church Service and
shooting people in random and not random motivated attacks.
(e) Forced sex in place of employment and movie studios that is
called consensual in court cases.
Acts 20:29 |
I know that after I leave, savage
wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. |
- Every country in the world has judicial systems that do NOT
always prosecute people who break the law where even the most modern
countries, there are people with money that are able to circumvent
judicial systems along with purchasing, through legal monetary
contributions, a lesser verdict. Then there is also the use of
judicial practices that protect criminals because of their implied
political benefits.
Sexual intimacy has been perverted from the way God has intended, and
the worlds policing with judicial systems are grossly inadequate along
with only getting worse. Sexual perversions and justice is leading
to a crescendo period of time in the
Tribulation Period. The future
Antichrist, in the
Tribulation Period,
will be a man only attracted to other men, in abusive and sadistic
sexual actions that causes maming and murder.
Daniel 11:36-37
Three areas of idolatry |
36 Then the king will do as he pleases, and he will exalt and magnify himself above
every god and will speak monstrous things against the God of gods; and he will
prosper until the indignation is finished, for that which is decreed will be done. 37
He
will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or
for the desire of women,
nor will
he show regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all.

Micah 7:1-6
This is also a scriptural pointer after the
Rapture |
1 Woe is me! for I am as when they
have gathered the summer fruits, as the grape gleanings of the
vintage: there is no cluster to eat; my soul desireth the
first-ripe fig. 2
The godly man is
perished out of the earth, and there is none upright
among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man
his brother with a net. 3 Their
hands are upon that which is evil to do it diligently; the
prince asketh, and the
judge is ready for a reward; and the great man, he
uttereth the evil desire of his soul: thus they weave it
together. 4 The best of them is as
a brier; the most upright is worse than a thorn hedge: the day
of thy watchmen, even thy visitation, is come; now shall be
their perplexity. 5 Trust ye not in
a neighbor; put ye not confidence in a friend; keep the doors of
thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. 6
For the son dishonoreth the father, the
daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law
against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his
own house. |

Preface and Understanding God's Law on Same Gender Sexual
Relationships with "Being Given over to the Desire"
Many Christians speak about the two cities of
Sodom and Gomorra being
destroyed with the belief:
Not True |
That it was homosexuality
that caused the destruction |
Not True |
Because there was the complete destruction of the two cities,
the belief is God sees homosexuality as deserving of death and
destruction |
The full explanation of the consequence of destruction is explained in the
next section of this topic.
The following is an excerpt from the
Homosexuality and Lesbian
topic:
- Leviticus 20:13 explains the act of same gender sexual relation is an
abomination to God
(a) Currently, we are living in a different
dispensation of Grace and Mercy where
immediate consequences are contingent upon Salvation Status. There
are many verses like 1 John 2:1 details with "My dear
children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does
sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One."
(b) In the Old Testament period, God gave forgiveness to
King David and also to the
Prophet Hosea's wife Gomer from
adultery, which was a sin that had a consequence of death.
(c) Even in Old Testament period jurisdiction,
the specific sins that required
death by stoning required at least two witnesses. This
does not mean anyone, any time in history should performs in secret away
from witnesses.
(d) Many people commit sexual acts, besides same gender, that should require
harsh penalties even unto criminal death such as sex with children, rape,
and sadism, masochism against the unwilling recipient, and sex with animals.
(e) The commandment of Leviticus 20:13, as well as many of God's
commandments, should be part of laws of the nations to stop so many sexual
acts through the deterrent consequences which now are impossible for nations
to administrate because of widespread acceptance. Because there
is so many sinful acts besides same gender sex, we all are facing the
Judgment of God upon our nations through the condoning of them which was one
of the paramount sins of Sodom
and Gomorra.
- Perhaps the greatest
penalty, that is worse than our mortal death, is not having an inheritance
in Eternity to show God that we are worthy of what
Jesus Christ did on the
Cross for us! There will
be people that have Salvation that will not be part of the
Wedding Marriage Supper of
the Lamb, which will cause them to be in great despair in not being a
participant even though they are grateful that they are still with God in
Eternity.
-
Romans 1:21-32 is perhaps the most
well-known warning against sexual impurity. Notice the partial
verse "God also gave them up".
This author has not heard or read one Christian message that
has made the following distinction and explanation:
(a) There are some people born with same gender attractions because of the
Fall of Adam and Eve
Consequences. This does not exonerate them to act on their sexual
attractions.
(b) The scriptural passage of Romans 1:21-32, and other scriptures, is
stating that because of the sins of
individuals that act against God in such as profane and grievous way
such as Idolatry, Adultery,
Murder, harm to Children / Elderly that the person will suffer the
immediate consequence of becoming attracted to same gender sexual appetites
and worse sexual appetites which then further damages their earthly life and
future eternity status.
* There are people, that have
Salvation which cannot be
lost, that have and are jeopardizing their
Rewards in Heaven, and
* for people that do not have Salvation are going to suffer greater
consequences in the Lake of Fire.
(c) Most importantly for the
Christian and non-Christian that is either attracted or not attracted to
same gender sexual relations:
* Just because someone that is not attracted to same gender sexual relations
cannot automatically assume that someone else that has same gender
attractions is experiencing the consequences by God of "gave
them up to uncleanness" for having same gender attraction!
Romans 1:21-32 explains the circumstances of being given over to uncleanness
which can still be removed from repenting of root causes.
* Just because someone has same gender sexual attraction does not mean God
does not love that person and that person cannot have Salvation! If
you are a person that has same gender attraction, this author loves you as a
fellow Christian or a
person that needs to become a Christian and wants the best for you through deliverance of this.
* If a person was heterosexual and developed bisexual or homosexual
attraction, then this person should absolutely consider their life's choices
and direction to stop all actions that are against God and all viewpoints
that do not acknowledge God as being responsible to God!
Leviticus 20:13 |
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them
have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their
blood shall be upon them.
|
1 Corinthians 6:9 |
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor
adulterers nor men who have sex with men. |
Romans 1:21-32 |
21 For although they knew God, they neither
glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became
futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22
Although they claimed to be wise, they became
fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the
immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds
and animals and reptiles.
24
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to
sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie,
and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is
forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful
lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural
ones. 27 In the same way the men also
abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for
one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in
themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it
worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a
depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29
They have become filled with every kind of
wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder,
strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30
slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and
boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31
they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32
Although they know God’s righteous decree that
those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do
these very things but also approve of those who practice them. |

What was the sin of Sodom and Gomorra?
Careful examination of the Scriptures shows us what were the real reasons,
for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra was because there were many sin problems in the two
cities:
- Genesis 18:27-33 details Abraham trying to negotiate with a
Theophany appearance of the Lord
to not destroy Sodom and Gomorra.
At the end of the negotiation's requests from Abraham to the Theophany,
Abraham asked the
Lord to not destroy Sodom if there can
be found at least 10 righteous people. The problem was there
was not even 10 with the exception of one family.
(a) Note that the negotiations started off with 50 people and Abraham
managed to get the number reduced down to 10.
(b) Abraham had concerns for the cities, because his nephew, Lot, along with
Lot's family was in Sodom.
Genesis 18:31-32 |
31 Abraham said, Now that I have been so
bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found
there? He said, For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.
32 Then he said, May the Lord not be angry,
but let me speak just once more.
What if only ten can be
found there? He answered, For the sake of ten, I will not destroy
it. |
- In Genesis 19:4-11, the two Angels of God who were with the
Theophany
appearance of the Lord, went to Sodom to get Abraham's
nephew Lot out of Sodom before it is destroyed. While the two Angels
were there:
(a) The men of the city, that were young to old,
tried to get to the two Angels at Lot's house, using force. The
scriptures states that the men had goals to have sexual relations with
the two Angels, who they thought were men. The scriptural text implies
a gang forced rape.
(b) Lot, offers his two daughters in place of the two
Angels, which the men had no desire.
(c) The two Angels, eventually struck the men with blindness to stop their
attempted break-in of the house.
(d) The two Angels take Lot and his
family out of Sodom, because they tell Lot that
the destruction cannot happen until
Lot and his family are removed.
(e) There is more to the incident that includes Lot's wife disobeying by
looking back to Sodom, where she is turned into a pillar of salt in Genesis
19:26.
- In Jeremiah 23, we are given a comparison of the state of Israel where
Israel is committing adultery, telling lies, worshiping false gods and many
other forms of evil which God compares them to the people of Sodom and
Gomorra.
- In Isaiah 36:8-9, we hear the people of Jerusalem and Judah are speaking
and doing evil like the people did in Sodom and Gomorra.
- In Ezekiel 16:49-50, we learn that:
(a) Pride,
(b) Not helping the poor and needy,
(c) Haughtiness, and
(d) Abominations
were amongst the foremost sins of Sodom and Gomorra.
- Additionally, as detailed in the next section of this topic, there was
an additional sin with the
Fallen Angels creating Nephilim
in Sodom, Gomorrah and near by cities.
Therefore, the major sin of Sodom and Gomorra was the items listed in point #5
that are highlighted in yellow.
Jeremiah 23:14 |
14 In the prophets of Jerusalem also I have seen
a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies; and they
strengthen the hands of evil-doers, so that none doth return from his
wickedness: they are all of them become unto me as
Sodom, and the
inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. |
Isaiah 36:8-9 |
8 For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has
fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the Lord,
defying his glorious presence. 9 For the
look on their faces bears witness against them they proclaim their sin
like Sodom; they do not
hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves. |
Ezekiel 16:49-50 |
49 Behold, this was the guilt of your sister
Sodom: she and her
daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not
aid the poor and needy. 50 They were
haughty and did an abomination before me. So I removed them, when I saw
it. |
Sodom, Gomorrah and Cities about them had Nephilim
This author has not seen this in any Biblical Commentaries, but there is a
reference in Jude 1:6-7 that indicates that Sodom and Gomorrah also had the the
sin of entertaining Fallen
Angels that created Nephilim in the cities.
The following is an excerpt from the
Nephilim topic:
- The word habitation
in the Greek is Oiketerion. It is the spiritual body we aspire to
receiving in
Heaven. The Fallen Angels who participated in this act, were put in
chains in darkness in Tartarus, to await the final
Great White Throne of Judgment
by Jesus Christ.
Notice also the act of the Fallen Angels also occurred in Sodom and Gomorrah
with creation of Nephilim.
Jude 1:6-7 |
6 And angels that
kept not their own principality, but left their proper habitation, he hath kept
in everlasting bonds under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as
Sodom and
Gomorrah, and the cities about them,
having in like manner with these given themselves over
to fornication and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the
punishment of eternal fire.
|
|
Guiding Points to knowing the full fate of why Sodom, Gomorrah and
surrounding cities were to be obliterated from the additional Jude 1:6-7
reference to Sodom and Gomorrah:
- In Jude 1:7: "Having in like manner" that indicates done
exactly the same.
- In Jude 1:7: "Given themselves over to fornication" and
"gone after strange flesh" means having sexual
copulation with something that is "strange" and
NOT human but has flesh.
Old Biblical Commentaries, that do not recognize the Nephilim try to put an
incorrect connotative transfer of the meaning of "strange" to mean
homosexuality where that is not true.
- Twice referenced in In Jude 1:6 and 7, the "these given over to fornication",
because they "left their habitation", as receiving and being shown as an
"example" which does NOT require the future
Great White Thrown of Judgment for us
to know their fate will be the Lake of Fire.
Habitation is the Spiritual Body as explained in the Nephilim
topic.
(a) Great White Thrown of Judgment is for establishing the fate and
punishment for human-beings without
Salvation. Salvation
is a free gift, not earned and cannot be lost, by
accepting Jesus Christ as a
person's Savior.
(b) Fallen Angels and Demons know their fate where they do not know the
extent of the degrees of punishment.
(c)
Homosexuality is a sin, but it
is forgivable just like murder,
adultery and many other sins.
Homosexuality is not one of the
Four Greatest Sins!
(d) Homosexuality does NOT cause a person to
go the Lake of Fire. Failing to accept Jesus Christ as a person's
Savior will condemn a person to the Lake of Fire.
(e) Some people are born with same gender attractions. Some acquire
same gender attraction because of sinful sexual experiences, pride, and
desires to be worshiped. See topic on
Sex with wrongful uses of sex.
(f) Rebelling against God can have the consequences to be given over to a
reprobate mind as read in Romans 1:28. The consequences are a desire
to do many types of grievous sins that may include
a starting place as a same gender
attraction but with
additional very
deviant sexual appetites in both homosexual and heterosexual sex. Notice that the
consequences are not all sexual appetites, but a desire to participate in
areas that are more and more offensive
to God which will always ultimately involve
Satanic Possession or Satanic
Oppression.
Romans 1:26-32 |
26 For this reason God gave them up unto
vile affections: for
even their women did change the natural use into that which is
against nature: 27 And likewise also
the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust
one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and
receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was
meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain
God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to
do those things which should not be done;
29 Being
filled with all
unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness,
maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity;
whisperers, 30
Backbiters, haters of God,
despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient
to parents, 31
Without understanding,
covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable,
unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the
judgment of God, that they which
commit such things are
worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them
that do them. |
(g) Homosexuality is a sin that for the Christian will
cause the loss of Rewards in
Heaven.
(h) Christians that were homosexual and even died as actively participating
in homosexuality will be remorseful at the
Judgment Seat of Christ
- The Great Flood, according
to some Biblical Scholars and this author, was required to deal with the
Nephilim infiltration of the
entire Earth that was also trying to infect the
Royal Blood Line of Jesus
Christ.
- Joshua, when coming into the Promise Land, was instructed to wipe out
every living creature that breathed in specific locations that contained
Nephilim.
- Jesus Christ stated when a
sign of the time of His Second
Coming, the
Tribulation Period would be like the "days of
Noah" having
Nephilim.
Matthew 24:37 |
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at
the coming of the Son of Man. |
- God puts all Fallen Angels in chains in Tartarus
for creating Nephilim. Note that this author's theory,
not seen in any Biblical Commentaries, is the Fallen Angels in Chains will
become the Stinging type of
Locusts with scorpion-type stings of Revelation 9:3 and they are in a
locked prison area that the Fallen
Angel Gog will receive a key to open as part of the
Judgments of the Tribulation
Period.
Location of Sodom and Gomorra
Many Biblical Scholars and archeologists, that have investigated the ancient
location of cities, believe the two cities' ruins are located in the area or
under the waters of the Dead Sea. Some of the theories, which have
some very strong evidence, have the two located on a Fault Line. The
theory is a massive earth quake
with magma exploding into the air was a possible cause of the destruction.
This theory is not taking God out of the destruction, but rather it shows that
the scriptures have collaboration and God often uses His Creation's natural
phenomenon.
The Fate of Sodom and Gomorra
The fate of Sodom and Gomorra was utter destruction that left nothing
physically standing.
Genesis 19:24-25 |
24 Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon
Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven; 25
and he overthrew those cities, and all the Plain,
and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the
ground. |
Very important: God does not hate children,
teenagers and young adults. There was certainly children, teenagers and
young adults in these cities which would be protected by the
Age of Accountability. It is often
mentioned by many Biblical Scholars, that if God chooses to exercise a judgment
that wipes out a group of people where children are also inhabitants, then there
is Mercy in the Judgment that
also allows the
opportunity for
Salvation for those under the
Age of Accountability.
Regarding the destruction by the use of the "brimstone
and fire from Jehovah", there are suggestions by some Biblical Scholars
that the tar pits mentioned in Genesis 14:10 would have also caught on fire in
the area, which would have caused the incineration of everything that could be
burned which includes all humans and animals.
Genesis 14:10 |
Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits, and
as the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some men fell into the pits,
but the survivors fled to the hill country. |
Something Amazing Overlooked?
An excerpt from the topic on Lot: Notice in Genesis 19:20-22 that Lot
and his family's presence in Sodom
prohibited the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra. This is amazing
reassurance of God's love for all of us, who have faith in Him.
- God waited until the two Angels removed Lot and his family before the
destruction.
- The destruction of Sodom and Gomorra could not happen until the only
remaining righteous people were removed, which was Lot and his family.
This action by the Angels, showed that God:
- Had plans for Lot and his family, just like God has plans for
all of us.
- God loved Lot and his family.
Genesis 19:20-22
Lot is speaking to the two Angels. |
20 Look, here is a town near enough to run to,
and it is small. Let me (Lot) flee to it it
is very small, isn t it? Then my life will be spared. 21
He (one of the Angels)
said to him, Very well, I will grant this request
too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of. 22
But flee there quickly, because
I cannot do anything until you
reach it. (That is why the town was called Zoar.)
(The key part is the Angels are not allowed to have Sodom and Gomorra
destroyed until the Angels removed Lot and his family. The two
cities of Sodom and Gomorra had surrounding villages where Zoar is one
of them ruled over by Sodom and Gomorra.) |
Yes, we can experience suffering that might be unto
death, but the Christian that experiences in any suffering or death that is not
the result of sin, will be compensated. Suffering from the results of sin
can all be turned into a blessing with the correct response to God. All
undeserved suffering by the Christian will have the opposite effect on the
Christian, when the Christian acts correctly, which will add glory to God and to
the Christian.
There is so much evidence in the scriptures, that point out that God is completely
in charge of all things. God has plans for every single one of us, where
we only need to ask Jesus Christ to be our Savior
and start growing in our Christian life.

God's City Jerusalem becomes like Sodom and Gomorra for 3.5
Years
In the Book of Revelation, there is a reference to the Two Witnesses that are
killed, but resurrected in 3.5
days as a pattern of Jesus Christ, to being in the city of Jerusalem where
the city of Jerusalem had become like Sodom and Gomorra. The key link between
Sodom and Gomorra and the city of Jerusalem, where Jerusalem is God's City, is
- The Antichrist will
be in charge
of Jerusalem in the Tribulation
Period,
- The Antichrist had
made Jerusalem, during the 3.5 years, like Sodom and Gomorra where Jerusalem
becomes a city of every kind of sin against God and one another
to be prevalent.
- The under the ruling of the Antichrist in Jerusalem in the Tribulation
Period, the city will become like Sodom and Gomorra having extreme:
(a) pride,
(b) haughtiness,
(c) selfishness,
(d) every kind of sexual sin that includes murder in the act of sex,
(c) oppression, and
(d) all of the highest form of blasphemy against God.
Note that Lucifer's city is and has always been
Babylon. Babylon, has always
had people living in the location even though it currently is not much of a city
in modern times. Babylon is destined to be judged and destroyed by God
during the Tribulation Period.
The scriptural passage of Revelation 11:7-8 is detailing with:
- Three and one-half days before the end of the Tribulation Period.
- The Two Witnesses'
mission in their speaking against the Antichrist will end with their murder.
- The murder will be by the "beast that rises from the bottomless pit",
(a) The beast is identified in Revelation 9:11 as Abandon in Hebrew and
Apollyon in Greek.
(b) The beast is also known as Gog through the further description of Amos
7:1 in KJV.
(c) For more details read the topic on
Gog and Magog.
- For three and half days the Two Witnesses will lie in the street of the
Great City, which is Jerusalem
- Jerusalem has become like Sodom and Gomorra with all of the extreme sins
against God, people, women and children.
Revelation 11:7-8 |
7 And when they have finished their testimony,
the beast that rises from the bottomless pit will make war on them and
conquer them and kill them, 8 and their
dead bodies will lie in the street of
the great city that symbolically
is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified. |
Revelation 9:11 |
They were ruled by a king, the angel of the
Abyss. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek it is Apollyon. |
Amos 7:1 in KJV |
Thus has the Lord God shewed me; and, behold,
a swarm of locusts coming from the east; and, behold, one caterpillar,
king Gog
(See the topic on Gog and
Magog to understand the direct coloration of the king of the
abyss is the high-ranking
Fallen Angel named
Gog. |
