Default

By default, there is one Sin that is unpardonable, without any substitute for payment and it will always cause someone to be condemned for eternity to the Lake of Fire.  This sin is not accepting God's free gift of the payment of His Son's death on the Cross for a person's sins which Jesus Christ did for us with His Great Love.  Accepting this free gift is called Salvation and to obtain Salvation only requires the process of asking Jesus Christ to be your Savior.

This is an excerpt from the topic on Suffering:

There are three types of suffering we observe:

  • Our suffering.
  • Suffering we see of those we love and care about.
  • Suffering we see in the world to those we may or may not know.

This author would state that if we, as Christians, are not experiencing suffering then we are not a threat to the Satanic World.

The MOST IMPORTANT points to ALWAYS KNOW:

  1. We absolutely have suffering based on our sins, but when we confess and make restitution then God applies Mercy based on our sowing and reaping.  The Christian often does not understand that making restitution is a form of positive sowing and reaping, that is not required by God for receiving forgiveness, but is what God requires us ALL to repair damages that we create and cause.
  2. For all other types of suffering, that are not based on our sins, then all suffering with difficulties are absolutely God filtered and God allows them because God will work with us to WIN over them when we act under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
    (a) This gives Glory to God and has us love God more and more.
    (This author can give hundreds of examples of experiencing and seeing victories by God for the righteous actions in suffering and adversity by the Christian!!!)
    (b) This is one of the many ways that actually is a positive principle of having the Christian become a more righteous, knowing, understanding, patient and emulation of Jesus Christ!  If we do not experience suffering, then we cannot grow into a better and better person.
  3. All suffering, regardless of reasons why it occurs, will have the opposite affect on the Christian so that the Satanic Forces and Evil Actions of people against a Christian will have the Christian benefit absolutely every time even unto death (more explained throughout this topic)!
    Romans 8:28-30 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.   29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

As a further point, God absolutely and uses 100% of suffering for His Purposes that we may not understand fully until after the Judgment Seat of Christ and Great White Thrown of Judgment.

Once you are a Christian, then it is impossible to lose your Salvation.  Your Salvation is 100% paid by Jesus Christ so that no man or woman can boast.  If it were possible to lose Salvation, then everyone of us would find a way to do so because we are sinful creatures.  Thank God for making a way that is permanent and gives all the Glory to Him.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

You are on First Base

Using an American Baseball analogy, after receiving Salvation you are on First Base and it is your privilege, desire and goal of reaching Home Plate and score so that you can reach Heaven and receive the rewards that God has set out for you.  Rewards, which consist of many areas, are based on everything done through faith that:

  1. Developed our relationship with God during our life,
  2. Activities in God's Service,
  3. Faithfulness to the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
  4. Righteously suffering, and
  5. Overcoming sinful areas and obstacles in life through the Holy Spirit.

Since every one of us is a work-in-progress, with our goal to emulate Jesus Christ, then in the process there will always be sin.  It should be obvious that our path is on the road to sinning less and less.

1 John 1:8-10 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
1 John 5:18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

Incorrectly Understood and Confusion on Sinning

Some Christians may incorrectly state the following three points, without considering the whole Word of God dealing with the sins that all of us are capable of committing, have committed or pondered the thought of committing.

  1. Incorrect: There is not any sin area that is more grievous than another because there can be extenuating circumstances that factor into any sin committed.
  2. Incorrect: God only judges a person's intentions, emotions and knowledge where the sinner does not necessarily know specific deeds are wrong.
  3. Incorrect: Since all sins are covered under the payment on the Cross then there is no condemnation in our Earthly existence.

Pointing out the incorrectness of the previous three points is not meant to be offensive.  We all need to recall two opposite examples in the scriptures dealing with King David and his son King Solomon.  One committed two very grievous sins, repented and was forgiven where there were still consequences.  The other abandoned God and the consequences were foretold by God in 1 Kings 11:11-13 which were after Solomon's lifetime which resulted in division of the nation of Israel.

1 Kings 11:11-13 11 Then the LORD said to Solomon, Because you have done this and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant. 12 Nevertheless, for the sake of your father David, I will not do it during your lifetime; I will tear it out of the hand of your son. 13 Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom away from him. I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of My servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.

Many Christians will incorrectly give specific scriptures to state the Gift of the Cross has freed us from the Penalty of the Law.  See the topic on "Are we under the Mosaic Laws?  No" for more information.   There are Biblical Scholars that state we are now governed by what could be called "the Law of the Holy Spirit", which is a more all-encompassing guide to live righteously.  Nowhere in the scriptures states that we are free (removed) from the consequences of sinning, as there is still consequences where we thank God for Grace and Mercy and work for Rewards in Heaven.

Romans 6:22-23 22 But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In the Old Testament's Dispensational period, before Jesus Christ's death, the sinner had to go to the Temple and perform specific requirements for the temporary remission of sins.  Jesus Christ's death on the cross, with our acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior freed us from the old requirements for the covering of sins.  The Old Testament's method for sin atonement was temporary.

Furthermore, the Old Testament Dispensational people had to wait for Jesus Christ's death on the cross for permanent remission (payment for sins) to have entrance into Heaven.  This is why Abraham is mentioned in the good compartment of Sheol in the parable of the rich man in Luke 16:19-31.

Grace and Mercy Aspects

God lets us know that He will give Grace and Mercy to those whom He pleases, where the Cross has many wonderful and glorious aspects to it that can never be summarized in a few paragraphs.  Note that God's Grace and Mercy has been active throughout the history of the Earth in all Dispensational Periods.

Romans 9:15 For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.

Jesus Christ's death was a payment for sins so that we could be righteous, with Salvation, and enter God's presence in eternity along with allowing God to show His love towards us through Jesus Christ, which prior to Jesus Christ had God showing Grace and Mercy because of the future Cross payment.  God exists outside of all Time Domains, which allows God to see the beginning of time on Earth until the ending period of time mentioned in the Book of Revelation.  The Cross never was about allowing Christians to participate in sin without consequences in our Earthly lives.

Romans 3:23-24 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1-2 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
1 Peter 2:16 Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.

The confusion, for us all to understand, is that sin:

When we sin, we need to recognize these possibilities:

Isaiah 1:15 When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.
Psalm 107:17 Fools, because of their rebellious way, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.
Psalm 38:3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your indignation; There is no health in my bones because of my sin.
Micah 6:13 "So also I will make you sick, striking you down, Desolating you because of your sins.
Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?
Matthew 15:19 "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.
Romans 1:24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.
Romans 8:5-8 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
James 1:14-15 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

What is a Sin?

There are three categories of Sin:

  1. Doing anything that is contrary to God's Will.
  2. Doing anything that is not a sin but will cause someone else to sin, and
  3. Not doing something needed that will cause another person to sin.
Romans 14:13 Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
1 John 3:4  Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
James 1:15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
James 4:17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn t do it, it is sin for them.

What are the Four Greatest Sins?

It is the opinion of this author, that many Pastors do not cover and teach in this area because Pastors are afraid that it will offend their congregation, which will cause a loss of tithes, volunteering and attendance.  In the scriptures, there are seven things that God hates as listed in Proverbs 6:16-19:

Proverbs 6:16-19

King James Version
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Depending upon the version translation, which can have different wording, the seven areas are:

(1) A proud look which means Arrogance, Pride and Idolatry which is the 1st of the four greatest sins.
(2) lying tongue.
(3) shed innocent blood which is the 3rd of the four greatest sins;
(4) deviseth wicked imaginations which means plans evil deeds;
(5) swift in running to mischief which means enjoys sinful pleasures;
(6) a False witness which means gossiping, giving false information about someone and perjury in a trial;
(7) soweth discord among brethren which means doing anything that cause problems in someone's life that includes:
--> adultery which is 4th in the four greatest sins, and
--> harm against the helpless people which is the 2nd of the four greatest sins.
--> Is not limited to actions against the "brethren", but this is foremost.

Notice also in Proverbs 6:20-35 details penalties on adultery, which confirms the 7th item of the areas that God hates.

The question next to ask is there sins that God would group into the four greatest sins, while knowing that Jesus Christ suffered on the Cross which required Him taking on every single sin of the World, even if a person who did a sin will not ask Jesus Christ to be their Savior.

All of us should know that we all have:
  • Committed every type of sin in our mind's imagination,
  • Are capable of doing any kind and all types of sin,
  • Possibly have done one or all of these four greatest sins listed below,
  • Need to know that no matter what sin we have committed, we cannot lose our Salvation,
  • God shows Grace and Mercy to whom He desires and in fact the Scriptures show that God gives Grace and Mercy to all of us.

After understanding the five bullet points and the content of this topic discussed above, it is this author's opinion that the four greatest sins that a Christian can commit are:

  1. Idolatry by worshipping or consulting anything that is presenting itself in place of the Holy Triune God of the Scriptures when knowing who the true God is.  In other words, worshiping a false god by participating in any communications with Satanic Forces such as:
    (a) Using Spirit Mediums
    (b) Consulting Fortune Tellers, Psychics, Sorceries, Witches and Warlocks
    (c) Conducting a Séance (also Remote Viewing)
    (d) Trying to speak any type of incantations
    (e) Using a so-called magical recipe
    (f) Putting reverence or believing in power obtained in:
         * crystals,
         * holy-water,
         * man-made shrines,
         * astrology
    (g) Any form of Necromancy.
    (h) Any form of
         * hero worship
         * worship of people that are performers such as actors, musicians, and sports figures
         * worship of imagery of people that are in photos and media (which includes pornography)
         * Sex outside of a covenant bond / in marriage of two people.

    All of these points of 1.a through 1.h are against the First and Second Commandments

    Note that idolatry does not equate to a lose our Salvation as some pastors have incorrectly stated that Hebrews 6:4-8 will cause a permanent forfeiture of Salvation, as it is impossible to lose Salvation, but we can suffer consequences in our Earthly lives with protection by the Holy Spirit hindered, and loss of rewards in Heaven.  See lose our Salvation topic for more on Hebrews 6:4-8 and additional information.  We cannot lose our Salvation!

    An example of over looked, not equated, or unknown examples on how we may be involved in idolatry:

    All of us have seen documentaries about pagan worship of strange gods, where people would:

    * Paint their bodies
    * Wear strange clothes and feathers on their heads
    * Dance in strange celebrations that often included sexual aspects.
    * In the scriptures there are the references to cultures, like Molech in Leviticus 18:21 that sacrificed babies, and in archeology like the Mayan religious practices that included human sacrifice of adults.

    Today we have people attending sporting events, music concerts, political events, and protests:

    * Wearing paint on their faces
    * Clothes with insignia, murals that depict death and destruction of figurative sportive adversaries and real death of others
    * Destroying of property
    * Glorifying of sexuality
    * Celebrating human achievements that are against Godly prohibitions.

    All human beings, and even the animals, are created by God to worship and give God Glory by having His Love for us manifested in our lives.  When we don't worship God then we will worship:

    (a) Ourselves
    (b) Wealth, beauty, sex, food, alcohol, drugs, and eventually the Satanic Demonic Spiritual Realm
    (c) Human-made objects that are suppose to give us power by us holding the object as a counterfeit spiritual source of power

    all of which will eventually having us profane God, destroy ourselves, and eliminate God's influence with protection for our spiritual inner being.

  2. Specific actions against a baby, child, teenager, or mentally handicapped person.  This is someone who is protected by the Age of Accountability, but can also include those are in the twilight years in terms of age.   The actions are:
    (a) Causing them to sin and reject Jesus Christ.
    (b) Sexually molesting them.
    (c) Torturing them.
    (e) Murdering them.
    The Third Commandment informs Christians that we are Ambassador's for God and Luke 17:2 has a very terrible warning.
    Luke 17:2 It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
  3. Commit Murder.  This is against the Sixth and Eighth Commandment.  Note if the murder is not known by the authorities, then the murderer should get legal counsel and confess to the murder.
  4. Commit Adultery in a Marriage or committed Relationship. This is against the Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Fifth and Tenth Commandments.

    This section is an excerpt from the topic on Adultery:

    In the most SUMMARY important point of the warning from the scriptures is understanding that when committing adultery, the Christian Adulterer is forcing God that indwells the Christian to be a witnessing participant in sexual relations with another person that involves an oppression or possession of a Satanic Fallen Angel or Demon!  While our carnal natures ultimately are responsible for sins, the sin of adultery always involves the Satanic Realm participation in the views of Biblical Scholars.

    As an analogy, that is not strong enough, would be a hypothetical situation where a person breaks into a home, ties up a spouse, and then has sex with the other spouse while the tied up spouse is forced to watch.  Also, God informs us in Matthew 25:40, that all things done are done unto God.  Jesus Christ explained the union of two people becoming one flesh which is also a parallel axiom to understanding adultery forces unwilling others (God and the other spouse) to become victim participants.

    2 Timothy 1:14 That good thing which was committed unto thee guard through the Holy Spirit which dwelleth in us.
    1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
    1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
    Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye did it unto me.
    Mark 10:5-9 5 But Jesus said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. 6 But from the beginning of creation, God CREATED THEM MALE AND FEMALE. 7 FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, 8 AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH; so they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.”

If you are asking why is there a point to be made with any Christian dealing with categorizing and discussing a list of four greatest sins, then the introductory and summarized answer is because:

As noted above, there is absolutely no sin that a man can do that will cause the loss of Salvation, but there is the potential loss of Rewards in Eternity

As Christians, and even for those who are not Christians, Matthew 25:40 explains that the actions done to anyone are doing them against God.

Matthew 25:40 The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Blessings Opportunity to Receive

Have you committed one of these sins then there is a wonderful opportunity to receive Blessings from God by:

The Four Greatest sins are very profound sins against God, and others as explained in this topic but they are covered under the Blood of the Cross where no matter the guilt felt along with any penalties with regrets, God absolutely still loves all of us.  God saw and knew of everyone's sins at the foundation of the world.  Nothing that the Satanic Forces do against the Christian will profit the Satanic Forces in the end when the Christian accepts any Suffering and considers all things worthy for the glory of God.

Philippians 3:8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.

Scriptural Reference Analysis in the Four Categories

Along with clicking on the links on the four areas, consider these scriptures:

Category (1): Idolatry, False Worship and Consulting Satanic Forces

King Saul is a prime example of a man who actually led a productive life as the King of Israel for a period of time, lead Israel to victories over their adversaries and then towards the end of King Saul's life consulted the Medium at Endor (1 Samuel 28:3-20) for her to talk to the dead Prophet of God named Samuel.  Later King Saul commits suicide (1 Chronicles 10:3-5) at the end of a battle which indicates the depraved spiritual condition of a life that started off with such great opportunities / possibilities.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. "For whoever does these things is detestable to the LORD; and because of these detestable things the LORD your God will drive them out before you.
Leviticus 26:1 You shall not make for yourselves idols, nor shall you set up for yourselves an image or a sacred pillar, nor shall you place a figured stone in your land to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God.
Ezekiel 20:23-24 23 "Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them among the lands,  24 because they had not observed My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My sabbaths, and their eyes were on the idols of their fathers.
Ezekiel 36:18 "Therefore I poured out My wrath on them for the blood which they had shed on the land, because they had defiled it with their idols.
Jeremiah 1:16 "I will pronounce My judgments on them concerning all their wickedness, whereby they have forsaken Me and have offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.
Psalm 106:36 And served their idols, Which became a snare to them.
Malachi 3:5 Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

Category (2): Harming a Baby, child, teenager, mentally handicapped person or someone under the Age of Accountability

Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Matthew 18:5-6 5 Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, 6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.
Luke 17:1-2 1 And he said to his disciples, Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.

Have you done one of these Types of Sins?

If you have participated in one of these types of sins, then it should mean you are contrite and want to have forgiveness, which is the first step and this author is excited that you have made this decision.  Forgiveness is absolutely obtainable and will have rewards for asking for it!  Here are the first two truths of many for you to know:

  1. Jesus Christ died for all sins ever committed by everyone that has lived, is living and will live which even includes people like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-tun, Fidel Castro and Id Amin where all these men needed to spend eternity in Heaven with God was to accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.  This author is not saying they were Christians as we have no historical evidence, but the point is that option was there for them and every one of us in our lives.  There is absolutely nothing you could have done to rise to the level of destruction these men have done and we all are sinners that require the Savior Jesus Christ.
  2. All you need to do is ask Jesus Christ to forgive you for anything you have done and move forward.  The important part about every sin that we all commit, is to never quit on the attempts to stop.  In other words, if we fall back into a sin, then ask for forgiveness and stop doing it.  It is not a license to sin but to move forward to the point where it is not something to have to contend with anymore.
