1. Creation of Adam
God created Adam and it wasn't until the
Spirit of Life was
"breathed in" did Adam become alive. Before the "breath
of life" was given by God, then the body was life-less.
An
important facet to recognize is God was required for a life's
creation, where all life since the "breathed in", has been derived from God's Creations.
It is one proof of many against
Evolution that it is impossible for inert dirt to be struck by lighting to
create amino acids and proteins which then organize themselves into a living
cell with a membrane, stomach, waste disposal, replication, food auguring
methods and so much more.
| Genesis 2:7 |
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust
of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the
breath of life, and the
man became a living being |
Notice that Adam is a direct creation of God like the Angels where you and I
are not direct creations. Ultimately, we have the ability to become new creations when we accept Jesus Christ
as our Savior. At
the Judgment Seat of Christ,
we also will receive a new body, that is based on how we lived our life, along with
the Grace of God. The new body is a gift and a
reward that is mentioned in
2 Corinthians 5:1-3 and 2 Peter 1:13-14. Click
here for an amazing
list dealing with our new bodies (if link missing click
here).
| 2 Corinthians 5:1-3 |
1
For we know that
if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved,
we have a building
from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.
2 For verily in this
we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from
heaven:
3 if so be that being
clothed we shall not be found naked. |
| 2 Peter 1:13-14 |
13
And I think it right, as long as I am in this
tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14 knowing
that the putting off of my tabernacle cometh swiftly, even as our Lord
Jesus Christ signified unto me. |
2. Covered in Light
In Genesis 1:26:27, we learn the God created Adam along with Eve after God's own
"tselem", having a likeness to the glory of God's Luminescence known as
Shekinah. The phrase "in our likeness",
is sometimes overlooked, which meant that there was a plurality in God, which we
know as the Triune God of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit,
which is evident throughout the entire Old Testament.
| Genesis 1:26-27 |
26 Then God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in
our likeness,
... 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. |
When we read in Exodus 34:29-35, when Moses spoke with God, that
afterwards the Israelites where afraid to be near to Moses because of God's glory
on his face so Moses had to put a veil over his face to hide God's glory.
| Exodus 34:29-35 |
29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant
law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because
he had spoken with the Lord.
30 When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face
was radiant, and they were afraid to come near
him. 31 But Moses called to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and
he spoke to them. 32 Afterward all the Israelites came near him, and he gave them all the commands the
Lord had given him on Mount Sinai. 33 When Moses finished speaking to them, he put a veil over his face.
34 But whenever he entered the Lord s presence to speak with him, he removed the veil until he came out.
And when he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded,
35 they saw that his face was
radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the Lord." |
| Matthew 17:1-2 |
1 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
2 There he was transfigured before them.
His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light." |
Therefore, it is most likely that Adam and Eve, who were naked an unashamed
Genesis 2:25,
were covered with light because they were in the presence of God because God
talked with them. Biblical Scholars have stated that the speaking is
similar to how God spoke with Job in a whirlwind.
| Genesis 2:25 |
And the man and his wife were both naked and
were not ashamed. |
In contrast, at the Judgment Seat
of Christ, notice that we are clothed in White Garments so that we are not
ashamed. Those at the Great
White Thrown of Judgment will be naked and ashamed.
| Revelation 3:17-18 |
17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become
wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are
wretched, miserable, poor, blind,
and naked— 18
I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the
fire, that you may be rich; and
white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your
nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye
salve, that you may see. |
| Revelation 16:15 |
“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he
who watches, and keeps his garments, lest
he walk naked and they see his
shame.” |
| Revelation 17:16 |
And the ten horns which you saw, and the
beast, these will hate the harlot and will
make her desolate and naked,
and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire. |
The covering of light that was lost has so much more implications when seeing
God's design and purposes:
| The following is a partial excerpt from the topic on
Sex: The following is summary information regarding light, innocence, and sexual
binding with a purpose designed by God where the answers are all "Yes!" as
proven by the scriptures:
- Was there a covering of light, that Adam and Eve had on their bodies, have them not
realize or feel naked until they ate the
Forbidden Fruit?
- Was the light that Adam and Eve had prior to the eating of the Forbidden
Fruit to be understood as a model in our current Earthly lives and knowledge
on our future Eternal Bodies?
- Is there the essence of the covering still remaining in purpose of
innocence and more, like the light that Adam and Eve were gifted by God,
still remaining for the offspring of Adam and Eve?
- While we do not have a covering of light, is there a special God given
veil covering our entire Body and Spirit in sexual innocence that is only
supposed to be removed by a spouse in marriage?
- When the Fallen Angels
disrobed from their Angelic body, described scripturally as a habitat that was composed of light, was
this required to allow copulation with human women to create the offspring
known in the scriptures as the Nephilim?
- When the Fallen Angels
did have copulation with any woman they chose, did this also cause an
additional extreme offense unto God because the woman's Spiritual veil of
virginity was removed that only a human male should have seen and had the
bond in sex?
A few scriptural references of many for these five points above along with
additional proofs concerning the importance of sexual purity:
| 1 |
1 John 1:5 |
God is described as Perfect Light. |
| 2 |
Genesis 2:25
Matthew 17:1-2
Genesis 3:7 |
Adam and Eve,
walked and talked with God, and were not ashamed in their nakedness,
until they ate the
Forbidden Fruit. When
visiting with God directly, the Light of God is imparted and will
radiate from us. |
| 3 |
Isaiah 14:12-14
2 Corinthians 11:14 |
Angels, including Lucifer before Lucifer's rebellion, are described as
omitting light. Lucifer was described as "son of the morning" omitting
light as bright as a star. |
| 4 |
Jude 1:6-7 |
The Fallen Angels
disrobed from their clothing of light
and their first habitation (which we as humans desire to have).
These Fallen Angels participate
in the creation of the Nephilim
before the Great Flood of Noah
and there will be another Nephilim world-wide epidemic in the
Tribulation Period. |
| 5 |
Exodus 34:29 |
Moses had to cover his face because Moses omitted light that was
shinning to brightly after coming down from speaking with God at Mt Sinai. |
| 6 |
2 Corinthians 5:1-3
2 Peter 1:13-14 |
We will have a new body that we long to have will be a clothing from
Heaven, where there will be some Human-beings at the
Judgment Seat of Christ that
will be naked because they did nothing as
Ambassador's of God as taught in
the Wedding Supper of the
Lamb and parables like the
Parable of Talents and Minas,
along with the Seven Churches of
Revelation. |
| 7 |
Matthew 17:1-2 |
All Fallen Angels, Demons and Human-beings without Salvation will appear
naked at the Great White Thrown
of Judgment. |
The scriptural passages referenced, where there are many, many more:

1 John 1:5 |
And this is the message which we have
heard from him and announce unto you,
that God is light,
and in him is no darkness at all. |

Then the eyes of both of them were opened,

Isaiah 14:12-14 |
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O
day-star, son of the
morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, that didst
lay low the nations! 13 And thou
saidst in thy heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my
throne above the stars of God; and I will sit upon the mount of
congregation, in the uttermost parts of the north; 14
I will ascend above the heights of the
clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. |

2 Corinthians 11:14 |
And no wonder, for Satan himself
masquerades as an angel of light.

Jude 1:6-7 |
6 And angels that
kept not their own principality, but
left their proper habitation, he hath kept in
everlasting bonds
under darkness
unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as
Sodom and
Gomorrah, and the cities about them,
having in like manner with these given themselves over
to fornication and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the
punishment of eternal fire.

When we have sexual intimacy as the
Apostle Paul informed us that we will even have a bond of "one body" with a
prostitute when having sexual interaction!
|
1 Corinthians 6:16 |
Or do you not know that he who is joined
to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, The
two will become one flesh. |
The following is an excerpt from the topic on
Sex:
|
All Human-beings are
made up of three parts: Body, Spirit, and Soul.
The clothing of light lost in the
Garden of Eden, can help us
to understand God intended purpose of innocence. When we have sex the first-time with someone, then
we are exposing our nakedness. This also will be the experience by
everyone at the
Judgment Seat of Jesus Christ or the Great
White Thrown of Judgments. As further detailed in the
Rewards in Heaven
topic:
- Those that have Salvation
and that overcomers will receive
glorified new bodies, omitting light dressed in white robes,
- There will be those that have
Salvation that will be
with God in Eternity but initially will appear naked at
Judgment Seat of Jesus
Christ and will NOT not be participating in the
Wedding Supper of
the Lamb. See Revelation 3:18.
- Those destined to the Lake
of Fire will appear grotesque in their nakedness.
| Revelation 3:5 |
The
one who conquers
will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will
never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess
his name before my Father and before his angels. |
| Revelation 3:18 |
18 that you may be clothed and
your shameful
nakedness not exposed, and salve to anoint your eyes
so that you may see. 19 Those I
love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore be earnest and
repent. |
| Revelation 4:4 |
Surrounding the throne were
twenty-four other thrones, and on these thrones sat
twenty-four elders
dressed in white, with golden crowns on their heads. |
Revelation 6:9-11
The Fifth Seal: The Martyrs of the
Tribulation
Period |
9 And when the Lamb opened the
fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had
been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they
had upheld. 10 And they cried
out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until
You avenge our blood and judge those who dwell upon the
earth?” 11 Then
each of them was
given a white robe and told to rest a little while
longer, until the full number of their fellow servants,
their brothers, were killed, just as they had been killed. |
Revelation 7:9 and 7:13
Great Multitude who came out of the |
7 After this I looked and saw a
multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe
and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before
the Lamb. They were
wearing white robes and holding palm branches in
their hands.
13 Then one of the elders
addressed me: “These in white robes,” he asked, “who are
they, and where have they come from?” |
| Revelation 19:14 The Rider on the White
Horse with His (Jesus Christ's army) in the
Tribulation Period |
11 Then I saw heaven standing open,
and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is
called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and
wages war. 12 He has eyes like
blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head. He has a
name written on Him that only He Himself knows. 13
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The
Word of God. 14 The armies of
heaven, dressed in
fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white
horses. |
Sex creates a link to the other person that is permanent even when we
do not remember. Many Biblical Scholars state that sex outside of
a covenant bond of marriage causes the person's Spirit to become
less and less attractive which will be exposed at the Judgments.
When we repent, there is the
opportunity to renew our Spirit to the attractiveness God intended. |

3. Eve Created from Adam's Rib
In Genesis 2:18 and Genesis 2:21-23 we learn more about God giving Adam a
wife Eve that was created from a rib of Adams.
| Genesis 2:18 |
The Lord God said, It is not good for
the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him. |
| Genesis 2:21-23 |
21 So the Lord God caused a deep
sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept
took one of his ribs and closed
up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib that the
Lord God had taken from the man He made into a woman and brought her to the man.
23 Then the man said, 'This at last is bone of my
bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was
taken out of Man. |
| There is something incredible that many Christians, include this
author, have missed for many years. Adam was present when God
created life. Eve was not present during those events. For
more information see the topic on the
Days of Creation topic. |
The Hebrew word for "rib" is tsela which has the additional meaning of
"side". See other uses of tsela in Exodus 25, 27 and 35. In 2 Samuel
16:13, David is facing a Shimei that is speaking profanities, throwing stones
and moving along the side, tsela, of a hill. The use in Genesis of God
creating Eve from Adam's rib has the possibility of a deeper meaning which is
stating that God created Eve from half of Adam by using his side rib.
We know from scripture that Jesus is described, amongst many other titles, as
the second Adam which Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians. Additionally, we learn
about the prophecy in Isaiah that the Messiah would be pierced for our (the
world's) transgressions.
| 1 Corinthians 15:47-49 |
47 The first man (Adam) is from the earth, earthy;
the second man
(Jesus) is from heaven. 48
As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the
dust, and as is the man of heaven (Christ), so also are those who are of heaven.
49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of
dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven." |
| Isaiah 53:5 |
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon
him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
|
| The Church in the New Testament and all Believers since the beginning and to the end are often
portrayed as the Bride of Christ, where "bride"
is a model or a type. When Jesus was pierced on His
side with a spear by the Roman soldier on the Cross, the question for us is
there something prophetic happening besides
Isaiah 53:5?
When we read the scriptural method that God used in creating Eve then there is also this parallel
that is breathtaking. Besides the prophecy that "not one of his
bones will be broken" from Psalm 34:20, there is an additional model.
When Jesus dies on the Cross to purchase His
bride (the Church all Believers since the beginning), there is also the parallel that Jesus is pierced in-between His ribs,
giving His side to the piercing just as Adam had his side opened up to gain his
wife, Eve. |
| Psalm 34:20 |
He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. |
| John 19:33-37 |
33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they
did not break his legs. 34 But one of
the soldiers pierced his side with
a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. 35
He who saw it has
borne witness his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the
truth that you also may believe. 36 For these things took place that the
Scripture might be fulfilled: Not one of his bones will be broken.
37 And again another Scripture says, They will look on him whom they
have pierced. |
4. Instructions to Adam, the Forbidden Tree
In Genesis 2:16-17, we learn about a tree that was in the
Garden of Eden
that was forbidden to eat fruit from it. More on the tree is discussed
later in this topic.
| Genesis 2:16-17 |
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, You are
free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17
but you must not eat from the
tree of the knowledge of
good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die. |
Notice it is
not an apple and that God instructs Adam not to eat of it.
This "apple" quote started somewhere in the past and this author believes it is
one of
Lucifer methods to start doubt in the hearer of the Word of God that leads
to disbelief. By naming the fruit an apple then makes all people who eat
apples think the Scriptures are full of errors because it is silly to not be
able to eat an apple. Unfortunately, the "the apple misinformation" is
often even heard in Church Services.
5. The Eating of the Forbidden Fruit of the Forbidden Tree
When Eve first and the Adam secondly ate the fruit from the
Forbidden Tree, there is a great
deception going on against Eve, but not Adam. Both Adam and Eve
committed blasphemy against God,
where despite the heinous sin, God's Great Love for Adam and Eve along with us
had a method of future restitution.
- The sin of eating the Forbidden Fruit is not the primary sin as the
action committed is the unpardonable sin of
blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Their blasphemy is proof against many people incorrectly thinking that
blasphemy causes loss of
Salvation which it does not, but blasphemy absolutely causes losses in
rewards in Heaven.
- Despite this sin, God still
LOVES THEM BOTH and no Biblical Scholar can state they lost their
Salvation as God did not immediately end their lives, but instead gave
judgment and a promise leading to justification to enter into Eternity with
God.
- The difference between what
Adam and Eve did in their sin is absolutely different than the sin of
Lucifer and the Fallen Angels!
| Matthew 12:31-32 |
31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and
blasphemy will be forgiven people, but
the blasphemy against the Spirit
will not be forgiven. 32 And whoever
speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever
speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age
or in the age to come. |
There is also penalties that were distinct for them and all future men and
women.
In the passages dealing with
Lucifer talking to Eve, notice that
Lucifer is
using deception by first using a method to doubt God when
Lucifer says "Did God
really say..." Next notice that Eve adds on "you must not touch it", which
God never said.
| Genesis 3:1-7 |
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.
He said to the woman, Did God really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden ?
2 The woman said
to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3
but God did say, You must not eat fruit
from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and
you must not touch it, or you will die.
4 You will
not certainly die, the serpent said to the woman. 5
For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will
be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. 6
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree
was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.
She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened,
and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. |
An amplification of the penalties
with additional insights of Genesis 3:16-19, that God gave Adam and Eve for
eating the Forbidding Fruit which all of us inherit, this author has this additional
theories:
Women:
- Very severe pain in childbearing and the birth,
- The desire of being a ruler over the husband and actually all
men, which is today's feminism,
- Vulnerability to being emotionally manipulated and deceived more easily
than men,
- Emotionally driven to go against logic that leads to bad and
sinful decisions, and
- The preponderance of being negatively critical
of having something that is God given and it is not enough.
Men:
- The consequence of "cursed is the ground",
meaning his work will not yield its full potential as read in
Genesis 3:18, where specific sins will increase more in the loss.
(a) Notice this is similar to
Cain's judgment for murdering his brother Abel, but Cain's
punishment was a great deal more punitive for Cain being a farmer
along with being a vagrant and wanderer on the Earth as read in
Genesis 4:9-16. A few Biblical Scholars and this author
believe Cain received
Salvation by his repentance
in Faith for believing and
trusting God for his
life's protection with
the "mark" that was given to Cain which Cain did not reject.
- Being able to be manipulated by their wives when the man is
supposed to be
head of a marriage and a wife has her roles also. A wife
is not to usurp her husband's leadership. (The exception would
be of a husband violating his role as a leader and doing evil.)
Both Genders:
For both Genders, it is implied by scriptures for all of us because of
inheriting the sin nature from Adam and Eve:
- We will have weaknesses to fully understand many scriptures and God's
direction in our lives because of our separation from God, where God was
formerly there fully to protect and explain all things prior to eating the
Forbidden Fruit that created the separation.
- The separation will be fully removed in
Eternity with our new bodies after the
Judgment Seat of Christ.
A
confirmation of our impairment is in one example in the mysterious and wonderful passages of the
Book of Daniel
Chapter 12 visions and information about the 1290 and 1335 Days. Daniel
12:4 states the vision will be sealed, but the blessing in knowledge on the the
specific of the passage and other passages shall be increasing before "the
end". Many Biblical Scholars and this author believe the period of
"the end" is before the
Tribulation Period when the knowledge of the Word
of God "shall increase" in "the
words", which is dealing with the Word of God. See the topic on the
1290 and 1335 days for more on the
fascinating and inspiring context.
| Genesis 3:16-19 |
16 To the woman he said, “I will make your
pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give
birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will
rule over you.” 17 To Adam he said,
“Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about
which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground
because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the
days of your life. 18 It will produce
thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your
food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for
dust you are and to dust you will return.” |
| Daniel 12:4 |
But you, Daniel, shut up
the words, and seal the
book until the time of the end;
many shall run to and fro, and
knowledge shall increase. |
There is still four more additional points:
It is this author's opinion and theory that there are two very
thought provoking points of the eating of the
Forbidden Fruit.
This separated Adam and Eve along with all the offspring humans to this
day from God's direct moment by moment:
- Intervention in preventing and stopping all the forms of the consequential hurting that we all do
to one another in the very least to the most grievous.
- In providing for our every requirement in life that involved a
direct experiential experience with Him.
This is also part of the answer to the famous question asked by
agnostics: "if
there is a God, then why doesn't He stop evil?" The
additional part of the answer to the agnostic question also includes the
other famous question asked by agnostics: "What is
the difference between what Lucifer and Fallen Angels did and what Adam
and Eve did when eating the Forbidden Fruit":
|
Note: There are some recent modern-day incorrect conjectures that imply:
- That Adam and Eve would not have known that eating the
Forbidden Fruit
was a sin against God because they would not have understood the
implications because they were innocent. This implies that negative
connotative transference based on Genesis 3:6 where Eve would have had to
ignore Genesis 2:16-17 where God informed Adam and Eve not to eat it.
- The deception for all of us in misunderstanding the scripture references
is because of Genesis 3:6 where the question is why does
(a)
"the fruit of the tree was good for food", and
(b) "desirable for gaining wisdom"
where the correct interpretation is the deception by Lucifer in the
possession of the snake.
6. Adam not Deceived and the Permanent Consequences for Men and
Women
There is a blessing in understanding what Adam did in the eating of the
Forbidding Fruit, that many Christians will most likely be surprised how Adam's
actions point to Jesus Christ. There are countless examples of
the models of the lives in the scriptures that point to the ultimate exhibition
of love that Jesus Christ did on the Cross. This is one example of many.Notice that Eve ate the fruit first and then Adam ate it. We do not
know what was exactly was going through his mind, but the scriptures give us
enough information to understand Adam's thoughts.
There was a failure in Adam's part by not stopping Eve to listening to the
Serpent possessed by
Lucifer. God told Adam in Genesis 3:17, "Because
you listened to your wife"
which also points to Adam making his decision based on what Eve said and not
Lucifer. Adam held the role of
head of their relationship and did not stop the incident of listening to Lucifer
from continuing.
The confirmation of Adam not being deceived is read in 1st Timothy 2:14, which states that Adam was not deceived, so
why did he eat the fruit with Eve?
| Genesis 3:13 |
Then the Lord
God said to the woman, What is this you have done?
The
woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate. |
| Genesis 3:17 |
To
Adam He said, Because you
listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I
commanded you, You must not eat from it, |
| 1 Timothy 2:14 |
And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the
woman who was deceived and became a sinner |
Note that the point is not to be disparaging against Eve or state that she was
weaker to the serpent's influence than Adam. We should ask ourselves four important questions:
- Why would Adam eat of the fruit knowing he was doing wrong? Adam
followed her because he loved Eve!
- Did Adam see Eve's covering of light disappear after she bit into the
Forbidden Fruit? Yes, Adam
most likely did see the covering left Eve. Eve also knew and felt the
covering of light along with her former intrinsic 100% connection with God
and Adam left her.
- Did Adam see that she
was naked before he ate the forbidden fruit? Yes, which would
analogous like anyone of seeing someone we love more than life have
something happen to them which injured them.
- Did Eve feel comforted that Adam joined her in eating the Forbidden
Fruit so that she would be taken care of because Adam would be with her in
her new state of life? Yes, she most likely did where there is more to
her thoughts that will be theorized in this topic section.
| Biblical Scholars point out
that Adam so loved Eve so much that he decided to join her in
her predicament and her shame, which meant there could be offspring to make a
reconciliation. Adam most likely did not think that thought at the
event before eating the Forbidden Fruit, but before eating the Forbidden
Fruit and seeing Even in her predicament, then Adam must have thought he
had to do something and knew God would be there for both himself and
Eve. Absolutely, God was there for them as the scriptural passages
indicate that God came to them as a loving parent would do for the
children in God asking them what they had done when God already knew. |
Jesus Christ did the same thing
as Adam in a way we can only partially understand, where He so loved the
world that He joined us in our predicament, to become sin and
take the full
wrath of God the Father, where His payment on the road to
the cross and on the
cross could save us.
Understanding this shows us that the scripture is teaching us that Adam was acting as a "Type of Christ" or "Model of
Christ" in his actions, as a foreshadowing. The scriptures are full
of this type of modeling and types, which are a finger print of the Holy Spirit.
| John3:16-18 |
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His
one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have
eternal life. 17 For God did not send his
Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through
Him. 18 Whoever believes in Him is not
condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because
they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. |
In the moment in
history when Jesus Christ was on the Cross, God the Son was separated from God
the Father and God the Holy Spirit because Jesus was taking our place in the
penalty of our sins. Notice in Matthew 27:46 that "My God" is
said twice and the "forsaken me" shows the separation
from the perfect unity of the Triune God, which was a pain we can never
comprehend. Forsaken in the context of the scripture verse means God the
Father and God the Holy Spirit abandoned God the Son!
| Matthew 27:46 |
And about the
ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lema
sabachthani? that is, My God, My God, why have you
forsaken me? |
Furthermore, note that there are many examples
throughout the Bible that men and women are acting as a model of Christ which we
all should be aspiring. There many great
examples like Joseph in Egypt and how he modeled the future Christ. Because of
Adam's action, there was a future remedy made through the seed of the woman:
| Genesis 3:15 |
God is speaking to the Serpent, which is possessed by Lucifer that
caused Adam and Eve eating the
Forbidden Fruit, that the consequences
on Earth will be: 15 And I will put enmity
between thee and the woman, and between
thy seed
and her seed; it shall
bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel. Notice the
following:
- The consequence of Lucifer's head bruised with only the offspring's "his
heel" that is bruised. The offspring of the woman is Jesus
Christ because of the "seed of the woman"
reference which is biologically impossible that points to God doing
the "seeding", which is the future
Virgin Birth that is also prophesized in Isaiah 7:14.
- Lucifer's attack against Jesus Christ causes only a minor bruise
to the heel of the foot.
- The question is why did Jesus Christ have
a bruise only on His heel? The answer is the bruise on the
heel is because of Jesus Christ stepping on top of Lucifer's head.
So Lucifer never has any victory from what he has done.
Lucifer's ultimate destiny is the Lake of Fire.
| Isaiah 7:14 |
Therefore the Lord himself shall
give you a sign;
Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and
shall call his name
Immanuel. (Immanuel means "God is with us".) |
|
Note that there is more on the "seed of the woman" to consider because it was
through Mary's lineage that
Jesus Christ had legal right and claim to the Kingship of Israel, and of course
the entire Earth. Women require the "seed" to come from the man, which was
done through the Holy Spirit. Both Mary and Mary's husband Joseph were
part of the Royal Linage of Jesus
Christ, but Joseph's part of the family genealogy had the curse of
Jeconiah problem which is an incredible and amazing point on of how God
circumvented the problems and fulfilling the prophecy of Genesis 3:15.
This is an observation and theory from this Author: Note that this
author's theory has NOT been read and NOT been heard from any Biblical Scholar or Biblical
Commentary, and is based on the consequences given by God in Genesis
3:16-19. These points help us truly understand the differences
of both men and women's thought processes that are rooted in the
consequences of Genesis 3:16-19.
- Notice that Eve did
NOT stop Adam from eating the
Forbidden Fruit. Eve
would have felt and seen the change from the action of eating the
Forbidden Fruit that included clothed in light disappearing (Adam
and Eve
later told God they were naked). Her eating
would have absolutely caused a separation feeling from God and also
Adam because it was
blasphemy against God
where the connection before was perfect. When we commit
blasphemy the separation is not from a perfect connection.
(a) Was Eve, because of the rebellious sin that has a consequence in
Genesis 3:16-19 of the desire to control her husband, already
attempting to control Adam where she wanted Adam to join her in sin
so that she would not be alone? We do not know but why did Eve
give it to Adam knowing the consequences.
(b) Adam and Eve both
committed blasphemy and are forgiven otherwise God would not have
continued being their God which then carried on to the opportunities
for all of us to have God in our life with the
future redeemer Jesus
Christ! There is
a difference between the
sin of Fallen Angels and Adam and Eve.
- Did Eve's action of
being deceived and acting against God also then was an action
against her husband Adam by not getting Adam's leadership? The
answer is yes!
(a) This author loves his wife and takes no
pleasure in stating this obvious conclusion. This author has
heard one Evangelist ask the question on why did Adam not stop Eve?
Yes, Adam should have stopped Eve at the point
Lucifer started
speaking through the serpent. Unfortunately, notice in Genesis 3:6 there was no dialogue and Eve's action was to
take and eat without a pause in contemplation after believing the
deception from the serpent
(b) Another consequence
for women that was because Eve believed God was not providing His
best for Eve believing the lies of Lucifer is the preponderance of
wives requiring conditional proof of love based on providing
security, financially, and intimacy. The husband
unconditionally desire respect, peace, and intimacy.
- Since Adam willingly joined Eve in her predicament because of
his great love for Eve, this most likely solidified future men's preponderance
and innate thought
process of loyalty and
protection, where this author believes God saw this as admirable in
the midst of the rebellious act. This is an observation, that has continued till this
present-day, where most (not all) husbands will sacrifice their happiness for their
wife and family. Sadly, the observation is a wife's love for
her husband is predominately conditionally based on the husband ability to provide
for her, her children, and her emotions where the paradox was Eve caused the problem by not letting Adam lead
by asking Adam's leadership in the conversation with Lucifer.
Also, Adam still should have stopped Lucifer speaking to Eve.
(a) Do we as male and female Christians fail in not letting God lead
us? The answer is we do not 100% let God fully lead
us!
(b) A few Biblical Scholars,
that this author agrees, have stated that Lucifer saw Adam as
competition and would be greater than himself, which was part of
Lucifer's aggressive strategy to attack Adam in the most
vulnerable area in Adam's love for Eve. Do husbands have an
obligation to protect their wife and children? Yes!
- The future penalties for both Eve and Adam which we all have
inherited are explained in a summary statement by God in Genesis
3:16-19. The future implications of God's Judgment are many that
cause suffering in marriages:
(a) Eve ate the
Forbidden Fruit thinking God was withholding something better
for her. Rhetorically, how often do wives believe their
husbands are not providing or doing their best?
(b) Notice in Genesis 3:16 verse has an implication that "ruling"
did not exist before. This author would state that Adam was
previously the leader as Eve was "created as Adam's helper" and for
Adam to not be alone. The implication was leadership by Adam
was a perfect leadership that also will be restored in Eternity that
we will have with God that does not exist now because of our fallen
nature. The world is
full of men that debase and treat women and their own wives
horribly, and God will hold these men in a very punitive judgment in
this life, loss of
rewards in Heaven for the men with Salvation, and greater
suffering in the Lake of Fire
for those men without Salvation.
(c) As God stated, women
will always desire to rule over their husband regardless
of not always admitting it. The phenomenon of the last
fifty and more years, with the rise of
Feminism, has
destroyed too many marriages even when the marriage continues.
Women will try to lead and co-lead a marriage.
Additionally, the very common heard comment because of feminism: "is a
woman will enter into sinful actions that often lead to her to sacrifice
the wellbeing of her family for her happiness to continue in the
sinful actions and most men will not."."
Women
when in arguments will retreat to emotional weapons that even when
she is wrong in the discussion or argument then in her mind's
rationalization process, the husband is wrong in the whole matter because he has
violated her emotional feelings. The husband learns this and
for sake of peace with tranquility will start to never exert his God
appointed leadership because arguing results in negative outcomes. When the husband does this then the
consequences are many where one
almost immediate consequence is
the wife will no longer desire
sex
AND emotional intimacy
with her husband, which is why
sexual
relationships are the primary responsibility of the wife.
Men, when being continued to be denied in sexual relations has
caused and lead to the rise in
pornography usage and addictions and increasing numbers of
adultery with shocking estimated rising percentages! (God
holds men more
accountable on adultery that destroys their lives! This
author has never committed adultery but has been a victim in
the first marriage.)
(d) This is an excerpt from the
Wives
Responsibility topic:
Sexual regularity problems usually occur after the first
year of a marriage for two common reasons:
1. The wife's emotional desire of wanting emotional security
have been mostly fulfilled, and
2. The wife's actions in self-inflicted diminished respect
for her husband because of attempts to control him.
This is an excerpt from the Roles
in a Relationship topic:
Women have a natural tendency to lose affection (and
sometimes respect) in their spouses when
boredom and routines become the predominate life
they are living. Joyce
Meyer caught this author's attention several
times, when listening to some of her ministry's
messages and reading her books, which have dealt
with this problem. In one of Joyce's messages, she
was speaking to women about understanding life is
not about vacation adventures, romantic dinners,
surprise gifts, intimacy, but rather said life is
routine. Joyce said something to the effect of
life is "waking up, taking care of family needs,
going to work, taking care of family needs, going to
sleep", where Joyce repeated this over and over to
get the point across with the summation that God
gives a woman a man to lead the family where it is
important to respect, love and support him.
Another very clever illustrative message from Joyce
Meyer that is a must watch is called "The
husband store".

7. Jesus Christ is the Second and the Last Adam
| The following is an excerpt from the
Titles of Jesus Christ
topic: As just read in the previous section of this topic, Adam was not deceived into
eating the Forbidden Fruit. Because Adam joined Eve, then all of us as
descendants:
- Inherited the sin nature,
- The predicament of separation from God in Eternity, and
- So much more that we will not fully understand until after we are in
eternity.
The scriptures point to the conclusion that Adam so loved Eve that he chose
to join her in the consequences, which at that time were not fully known.
In Romans 5:12 through verse 14, there is a very enlightening point that Adam
is responsible for the sin nature entering humans because Adam was in charge at
the Garden of Eden and also
responsible for Eve. Furthermore, Eve was deceived and her sin was not
trusting God, but Adam's sin was actually more grevious because he was not
deceived and did not use his God given authority over the entirety of the Garden
of Eden that included Lucifer's
intrusion and infiltration.
| Romans 5:12-14 |
12 Therefore, just
as sin entered the world through
one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to
all men, because all sinned. 13 For sin was
in the world before the law was given; but sin is not taken into account
when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless,
death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who did not sin in
the way that Adam transgressed.
He is a pattern of the One to
come. |
Paul gives Jesus Christ the title of "The last Adam"
in 1 Corinthians 15:45. The model and title points to:
- Jesus Christ joining all human beings in their predicament like Adam did
for Eve, where the difference was Adam sinned out of love for Eve but Jesus
Christ did not sin and did it for a love beyond our ability to comprehend.
- Jesus Christ would be the last one of perfection and sinless to join in
our predicament.
- Jesus Christ gave Himself as a payment for the sins of all of those who
would accept Him as their Savior.
This author, and scripture commentaries that speak about this area, are not
stating that Adam was attempting to do anything that Jesus Christ accomplished.
The model is what Adam did, that showed his great love for Eve, that by joining
her then he could be there for her in the consequences and also hopefully rescue
her. Jesus Christ did rescue us and so much, much more. This is one
of countless patterns in the scriptures that point to scriptures being from God.
| 1 Corinthians 15:45-48 |
45 So also it is written,
"The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL."
The last Adam became a
life-giving spirit. 46 However, the
spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. 47
The first man is from the earth, earthy; the
second man is from heaven. 48 As is the
earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so
also are those who are heavenly. |

8. An Additional Sin
There is an additional sin by Adam and Eve that this author has never seen
discussed in Biblical Commentaries. The additional third sin was not
trusting and believing totally in God who they had intimate fellowship.
The three primary sins are:
- They listened to
Lucifer,
who was speaking through the possession of the serpent, and heard the full
deception. At the moment that Lucifer started to speak words against God's Character, then Adam and Eve should have stopped
listening and walked away.
- They acted on the deception,
when they ate the Forbidden Fruit.
- Believing that God was withholding
knowledge and not giving His Perfect Best to Adam and Eve.
Most Christians are aware of the deception by
Lucifer giving the thought that God was holding
something back from Adam and Eve where if they ate the Forbidden Fruit, they
would gain knowledge with the promise of "your eyes will
be opened". Adam and Eve proceeded with eating which showed they
were not trusting and believing that God was giving them His Best.
| Genesis 3:5 |
"For God knows that in
the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be
like God, knowing good and evil." |
Lucifer absolutely deceived and
lied to
Adam and Eve about the
Forbidden Fruit. Lucifer spoke correctly (a half-truth) about the
consequence but the way Lucifer said it, had the interpretation to Eve in
Genesis 3:5 to mean that God was holding back something, which is
absolutely not true, a lie, along with evil.
(This author is not stating Lucifer was
telling the truth, but describing the deception.) Lucifer's lie had
the connotation that something good would be gained in eating the Forbidden
Fruit, but the truth was a curse and penalties would be gained.
9. Forbidden Tree, Why was It There?
| An excerpt from the
Forbidden Tree topic: Regarding this forbidden tree, the tree was
apparently visible, and in the Garden, where we are not given a reason why it is
there.
This author believes it has two possibilities:
- It was a tree that Lucifer
tainted or changed from its original purpose that therefore was associated
with Lucifer , or
- More likely, Lucifer
purposely manipulated the tree to be a counterfeit against the
Tree of Life, with immediate
consequences for consuming along with disobeying God's command not to eat
it.
Counterfeiting God and the Works of God has been
Lucifer's pattern. At
the end-times of the
Tribulation Period, Lucifer
sets up a false trinity with:
(a) The False Prophet in the role of the Holy Spirit,
(b) The Antichrist in
the role of Jesus Christ, and
(c) himself in the role of God the Father,
which of course has no power. See Isaiah 14:14, "I
will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most
High.
| Note: There is an important point of the
Purpose of All History,
that the actions of
Lucifer, Fallen Angels,
Demons and even human-kind who do not receive
Salvation will have an
opposite effect of the evil intentions. All of us, when we
are with God in Eternity,
will receive "surpassing riches of His Grace in kindness towards
us in Christ Jesus" as read in Ephesians 2:4-7. This applies to
also the Angels as explained the
Purpose of All History
topic. God is going to make all the rebellion,
pain and striving against evil have the opposite effect of blessing the
individual in eternity.
God uses all suffering, even
unto death, along with our work
as Believers in the God of the Scriptures to develop us into the a greater and a more complete person
in Jesus Christ's image.
As an analogy, all of who exercise become stronger, and when we study, we
will learn more. God will absolutely use all events in our lives
to our advantage to develop greater trust and love for God. This is the Great
Gift that we are receiving when go through life as a Christian as read
in James 1:2-4.
| James 1:2-4 |
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers,
when you encounter trials of many kinds, 3
because you know that the testing of your
faith develops perseverance. 4
Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may
be mature
and complete, not lacking anything. |
Because of our work and suffering in our lives, God then will have
individual incredible Rewards
in Heaven for everything a person goes through in life that pertains
to the individual:
- In Developing a relationship with God during life,
- Activities in God's Service,
- Faithfulness to the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
- Righteously
suffering, and
- Overcoming sinful areas and obstacles in life through the Holy
Spirit.
which gives
God Glory. Yes, we do not deserve Heaven except
through Jesus Christ (Salvation),
but as we are made righteous because of Jesus Christ in our lives after
accepting Jesus Christ as our
Savior, where we can
then receive what Rewards
that were earned in our lives.
Absolutely there will be great Love and Gifts from God in Eternity
future, but there are individual Rewards that were made possible because
of going through evil events of suffering
and doing work unto God, where the
Rewards would not have
been possible if Lucifer had not started the rebellion. This is
how and why everything done:
- Against God,
- Against Angels, and
- Against us who have
Salvation
will become Blessings. All evil absolutely will not accomplish
the primary goals against God, Angels and us with
Salvation. Even
those who are babies, young, mentally handicapped or even those who never heard of God in the
Old Testament Dispensation or Jesus Christ have special provision
made under the Age of
Accountability principle set forth in the scriptures. |
It is the opinion of many Biblical Scholars that God did not
initially remove
Lucifer from the
Garden of Eden along with anything done by
Lucifer so that God can show His Angels the far-ranging consequences of
rebellion. Recall that in Job 1:7, Lucifer tells God that he was "going
to and fro on the earth", which shows access to the Earth. This highly probable theory is overwhelmingly confirmed by the
whole of scripture where here are two points that are relating to the Garden of
Eden:
- God setting Cherubim (plural of Cherub) to guard the way to the Tree of
Life to prevent Adam, Eve, Lucifer
and other Fallen Angels from having access to the
Tree of Life after the
sin of Adam and Eve as read in Genesis 3:22-24. Regarding the guarding of
the
Tree of Life, an
ordinary Angel could have kept
Adam and Eve out but it
required Cherubim, to prevent Fallen Angels and Lucifer
from gaining access to the Fruit on the
Tree of Life. Note
that the
Tree of Life would have
given Adam and Eve immortality in a sinful state.
| Genesis 3:22-24 |
22 And the Lord God said, The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.
He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat,
and live forever. 23 So the Lord God banished him from the
Garden of Eden to work the ground
from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side
of the Garden of Eden
cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth
to guard the way
to the tree of life. |
- In Genesis 1:2, the Scripture informs us that the earth was formless and
void. God does not create anything without purpose, beauty and to
righteously honor Himself. In Genesis 1:2, we also learn that God began a creation
process. Biblical Scholars have a few theories, that are often
collectively known as the
Gap
Theory of Genesis 1:2, to explain why the earth was void. The general
summary is
Lucifer had his rebellion which then caused the earth to be
formless and void. God left it in this state for many reasons which
include showing that
Lucifer is in capable of doing anything about it. The earth could have
been in this state for billions of years.
| Genesis 1:1-2 |
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over
the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. |
|
10. Sound of God approaching
The verses of Genesis 3:8-10 are letting us know about the discovery of God
approaching Adam and Eve show that God was showing the love of a father for his
children. God already knew that they had sinned and was giving them a
chance to confess and repent. God is also teaching them many
important lessons and consequences on how He is handling this grievous action.
| Genesis 3:8-11 |
8 And they heard the voice of Jehovah God walking in the garden in the
cool of the day: and the man and
his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And Jehovah God called unto the man, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard
thy voice in the garden,
and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of
the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? |
In an important correlation, notice the "cool of the day" and "thy
voice in the garden" where the first phrase probably
should be translated strong wind blowing. It is similar to when
God spoke to Job in the whirlwind in Job 38:1.
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ did the same approach with the
Apostle Peter, John
21:15-19, which is after Peter had denied that he knew Jesus Christ in all four
Gospels such as Matthew 26:69-75. Jesus Christ
renewed Peter's lost discipleship,
which is similar to God approaching Adam and Eve. Peter, Adam and Eve
still loved God, but had sinned where God did the initiating to restore the
relationship.
11. The Animal Skin Covering Required
When both Adam and Eve ate the fruit and were confronted by God as a Father
who loves His Children, both Adam and Eve had sewed fig leaves together as
loincloths. What changed was the introduction of a
Fallen Nature and they then realized they were
naked without the covering of light.
| Genesis 3:7 |
Then the eyes of both were opened, and they
knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made
themselves loincloths. |
| Genesis 3:21 |
The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam
and his wife, and clothed them. |
When God made garments of skin for Adam and Eve, this was more than just to
give them something better than fig leaves. God could have given them many
different things such as something made from the bark of a tree or some sort of
current day cotton woven materials.
By giving God giving them the coats of skin, which Biblical Scholars point to
being animal skin and fur, it was teaching the requirements that
by the shedding of
blood there was a covering for sins. A covering of animal skin,
which required the death of an animal was a
temporary action that points to the redeemer,
Jesus Christ who's
death was a
permanent payment for sins.
| Hebrews 9:22 |
Indeed, under the law almost everything is
purified with blood, and without
the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. |
| Ephesians 1:7 |
In Him we have
redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God s grace
|
| Hebrews 9:14 |
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God,
cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may
serve the living God! |
12. Age of the Earth
This is a quick addendum type-of section of this topic, where more can be
read in the Age of the Earth and
Gap Theory topics.
This author has
not seen any commentaries speak about how long Adam
first and then both Adam and Eve were in the
Garden
of Eden, where often the connotation received from a Sunday Church Service or a
Bible Study, is the time in the Garden of Eden was not that long because of
Lucifer's involvement. This cannot be so easily discerned, where the
scriptures do not state how long.
It is important to know that Adam named all of the
animals and creatures that
God created, which this is not a trivial task Naming of all
of the animals could not have been easily
completed in a short period of time. Additionally, after Eve was created,
then the time they spent together could have been a very long-time also in order for
Adam and Eve to have the bond of love that the scriptures infer to have Adam
join Eve in the predicament of the eating of the
Forbidden Fruit.
| Genesis 2:20 |
And the
man gave names to all the
cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field,
but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him. |
Adam and Eve could have been in the Garden
of Eden for thousands, millions and even possibly billions of years.
There are possibly Christians who are reading this and may scoff at the
possibility of millions or billions of years, whereas mentioned in the topic on
the Gap Theory, God might have used
millions to billions of years to show all of the Angels that
Lucifer was not capable of fixing
anything that was tainted and wrecked before God did a new creation in the
existing Earth in Genesis.
13. So Many Beautiful Insights and Idioms
There are so many beautiful, thought provoking, liberating, inspiring verses
here in the first few chapters of Genesis which almost jumps off of the page
requiring examination where the writer had to restrain himself to stay on topic
while writing. As a suggestion, the possible next topics to read, besides
those listed below, is possibly Noah's Ark
that clears up one area of many of the difficult and inadequate Christian
commentary subjects.
What to read next?
Read about the
Garden of Eden. What is
Salvation? Is it possible to
lose Salvation? We have
eternal life.
Evolution is not real. When a Christian
suffers is there benefits from it.
Rewards in heaven. Do we
Tithe? What does the
3rd Commandment tell us? What is
Grace and Mercy? Is there an
Age of Accountability? Is there a place of
unending punishment and exile form God?
