The question for all of us is: "What decisions have we made regarding our Salvation and how we will live our life?

Sin is always alluring.  Sin is a deceptive masquerade.  We cannot avoid making decisions:

  • To have the only Savior Jesus Christ, and
  • Avoiding sinful desires on an ongoing part of life.

Our decisions determine our destiny now and for eternity.  Refusing Jesus Christ as our Savior and choosing sinful will absolutely lead to problems, negative consequence, and even unto our death.  Choosing the provision of Jesus Christ as our Savior and following the wisdom of God's instructions leads absolutely to our betterment, joy, and rewards now and in Heaven.

We cannot postpone or avoid the decision to choose Jesus Christ as our Savior.  Postponing and avoiding means:

  • To reject one is to choose the other.
  • To choose one is to reject the other.

Refusing Jesus Christ as our Savior and participating in sinful desires are always initially made to be okay for everyway along with being attractive, as we think there is no accountability!  Our selfish desires are from our fallen natures that have:

  • Lust for power,
  • Gain money,
  • Have the wrong type of fun,
  • Enjoy sex outside of a covenant,
  • Have revenge, and
  • Other sinful desires

where the Satanic Realm will absolutely hide the true penalties of doing any type of sins.

The only way to avoid foolish, ignorant, selfish, and wrong decisions of folly is to choose the path of wisdom that comes from the Word of God and guidance of the Holy Spirit, where we must first have Jesus Christ as our Savior.

It takes time for God's Judgment to fall on people who commit sins.  The fact that time elapses, gives the false impression to all of us and think there is no consequences.

The simple minded, foolish minded, and scorning person that do not take God and God's scriptures seriously will often think they have their lives are absolutely okay until the problems, negative and consequences arrive.

Galatians 6:7-9 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

We all absolutely need a Savior.  Do the following steps as part of your acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Savior:

Step 1 of 4 - Acknowledge and Ask for Salvation

Simply envision that you are kneeling before Jesus Christ in your mind and say this:

"Dear Jesus, I recognize you as my God and my Savior.  I am a sinner and accept what you did on the Cross for payment of my sins and forever want to be with You in eternity.  I know my sins of {list them if you feel the inclination and guidance}.  Please come into my life.  Amen.

Step 2 of 4 - Confessing from Our Heart

After your prayer, take the time to read and understand Romans 10:9-15 as you have security eternal security in having Salvation.  All of us will have times in our life that we will have confirmation of our Salvation by our profession verbally of Faith in Jesus Christ in casual and even formal conversations with other concerning God.

Romans 10:9-15 9 If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame. 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!

The entire scriptures, Old and New Testament, are one book that has a wealth of information for you to empower your life and prepare for the rewards in Heaven.  John 3:16-17 is one of most beautiful and well-known scriptures that you should commit to memory.

John 3:16-17 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Step 3 of 4 - Repenting and Changing our Life

  1. God has appointed absolutely every one of us for a purpose for His Glory and our glory which means repenting from sinful acts and desires, which will take time as the Holy Spirit guides you.
John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
  2. Unlike religions of the world, that are sometimes even Christian based but are more accurately described as Pagan Christianity, the full and entire purpose of our lives is to have a relationship with God that has nothing to do with rituals.  See the topic on our relationship with Jesus Christ
  3. Make friends with people you know are true Believers and find a good Church.  This is a great new start of your life!
  4. There is much to learn so go forth in forgiveness and love along with being wise.  The Holy Spirit, who in dwells you once you made the prayer of Salvation, will help and guide you from this point forward.
  5. Always remember that your Salvation was purchased like a ransom for someone held captive that required a payment to be set free.  We all were not being held by kidnappers, but we were prisoners to our own sinful nature.
  6. It is with great happiness that you have made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and it is the paramount desire of this author that you live a full productive life going forward.  Your life from this point forward will be changed in marvelous ways as you will become more productive and begin to earn rewards in eternity.

Step 4 of 4 - Join the Winning Team

A good friend of this author, Luis Castillo who spends Saturdays volunteering with troubled youth, mentioned that he speaks to the teenage young men about Jesus Christ will lead them into a great new and better life if they believe and ask Jesus Christ to so.   Next Luis gives a sport's analogy to the young men that accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.  This analogy is perfectly applicable to you as a new Christian no matter your condition in life.
  1. You are now on a winning team and the coach is Jesus Christ.
  2. As part of joining this winning team, the coach is expecting you to play different positions on the team.  All sporting teams have positions when in competition in a game against a rival team.  Life is continuous engagement against the opposing rival team which is our own rebellious sinful nature.
  3. How are you, as a new player, going to be sportive and competitive with your team if you do not learn the team's play book on positions on the team without reading the playbook which is the Bible?
  4. The reality of life now is you are on the wining team, and God expects you to learn the full play book which is the scriptures.
  5. By learning the scriptures, you will learn all the winning moves, and also know the other team of Satan's plays against you to hurt, make you ineffective, and take you out of the game.
  6. As part of God's team, you will experience all types of adversarial conditions.  God will give you victory, even unto death, in ALL things when you trust and learn from Him that will lead to you having rewards now and also in eternity.
Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:31 What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

After dedicating your life and learning the playbook, which is the scriptures, the next truth is you will have adversaries come against you that are from the Satanic Forces in the Earth along with people that will be inspired to come against you because of you being a Christian.  The Holy Spirit will guide you through all adversarial conditions.  This author has been amazed at all of the times that very painful and fearful situations have lead to the most wonderful and rewarding victories when trusting God to lead me through all of them.

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Psalm 56:11 in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Romans 8:37-39 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Step 5 of 5 God is to be Respected and Acknowledged in All Things

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are Born-Again as the scriptures identify us all.  The next part of our life that is part of understanding God is our Father, Savior, Leader, Councelor and so many other adjectives that are described in the many names of God, is to:

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 4:5-9 5 Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. 6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;  love her, and she will watch over you. 7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. 8 Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. 9 She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.
Proverbs 9:10-12 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 11 For through wisdom, your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. 12 If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.

When learn, then God will absolutely give us more insights into our life as Christian, which is reflected in the Parable of Talents.  Many Christians are confused into thinking that we can live anyway we want to live and simply confess a sin to have no consequence.  When we knowingly sin, then we will consequences that are part of Sowing and Reaping which is always administrated through God's Great Love for us in Grace and Mercy that is given to have us learn.  When we refuse to accept loving consequences then we
