Jesus Christ the Son of Man This is an excerpt from the Titles of Jesus Christ: Son of Man is a descriptive title spoken of Jesus Christ in many scriptures. Searching for scriptures with the phrase "son of man" in the Old Testament reveal the meaning to be a human-being of weakness and frailty. See Job 25:6, Psalms 8:4, Psalms 144:3, Psalms 146.3, Isaiah 51:12 and so many more in the Old Testament, but there is more to the meaning of "son of man" because of the prophecies in the Old Testament such as Daniel 7:13-14.One of the key scriptural passages in the Old Testament is Daniel 7:13-14, which identifies the title "son of man" to point to Jesus Christ is the vision that the Prophet Daniel had. The meaning of the Daniel passage is clearly pointing to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, where Daniel was gifted with the amazing vision. There is the additional corroborating parallel passage of the Revelation 1:7 scripture verse. Revelation 1:7 topic details more information on the remarkable event that is only one small part of the victory that Jesus Christ has at His Second Coming.
The full meaning of the title, "son of man", when used of Jesus Christ, is a pointer to the Role that only Jesus Christ could do for all human-beings, which is to take our place to have the full:
The title of "son of man" is therefore a privileged Title unto God's Glory for what Jesus Christ has done for us who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior. |
