2 | Can God have a Friendship with Someone Who will not have Salvation? |
3 | If God Does Not Know A Person |
John 15:15 | I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. |
Exodus 33:11 | The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. |
James 2:23 | and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness, and he was called the friend of God. |
In the scriptures:
In the Parable of the Wedding, there is a guest who is called friend, whom comes to the wedding with the wrong wedding garment. Some people believe that this friend is pointing to someone who does not have Salvation. According to many Biblical Scholars, this is not the case as explained in very great details in the topic of the Wedding Supper of the Lamb.
From the perspective of living on the Earth, we all must remember that God is not a deity subject to time, as God exists outside of Time. God knows our decisions in life before we even are born.
We are given one example in the scripture of Judas Iscariot, who Jesus Christ knew would betray him, but still chose Judas Iscariot to be an Disciple along with having a friendship with Judas Iscariot for a period of time. Yes, Jesus Christ also knew the prophecy dealing with Judas Iscariot's treachery and inevitable betrayal.
If God never has a relationship with a person, then God does not call that person a friend. In fact, Jesus Christ is warning everyone that just because anyone uses Jesus Christ's name in conversations or uses Jesus Christ's name in prayers without having a relationship with Jesus Christ will count for nothing.
In Matthew 7:23, Jesus Christ is speaking about those who will use excuses at the Judgment Seat of Christ to try to avoid the Lake of Fire. Jesus Christ tells some people that He never knew them. This means they were never Jesus Christ's friend at any time in their life.
Matthew 7:20-23 | 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. |
All of us need Jesus Christ as our Savior to have obtain Salvation, which will make our earthly lives rewarding, fulfilling and also earn rewards in heaven, when we have a relationship with Jesus Christ as a friend. If you are reading this and do not have Jesus Christ as your Savior and friend, then ask Him now to be your Savior.
Additionally, all of us at times in our lives, have not always lived as we should be living that honors our relationship with Jesus Christ. When we have Jesus Christ as our Savior then we have started a relationship with Him that is honoring, respectful, reverent relationship that is also a friendship. The friendship is forever and eternal. It is impossible to lose Salvation.
John 6:37 | All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. |

We have eternal life. Evolution is not real. When a Christian suffers is there benefits from it. Rewards in heaven. Do we Tithe? What does the 3rd Commandment tell us? What is Salvation? What is Grace and Mercy? Is there an Age of Accountability? Is there a place of unending punishment and exile form God?
