God always has at least two scriptural references to authenticate a message that He is imparting to us.

A controversially example is the Nephilim are confirmed in three places in the New Testament so that there can be no mistake on the event in Genesis, in Israel's invasion of the Promise Land and also Jesus Christ's warning about the Tribulation Period.

To validate God's purposes, God even has the message of two or three witnesses in multiple scriptural locations.

Many critics of the Bible have ridiculed the scriptures because of the repetition on specific points and historical passages that appear in different Books of the Bible.  The Biblical Scholars have said that God authenticates His Word by having at least two references for topics so that there can be no confusion, and also so that scripture interprets and validates scripture.

Deuteronomy 17:6 On the evidence of two witnesses or three witnesses, he who is to die shall be put to death; he shall not be put to death on the evidence of one witness.
Deuteronomy 19:15 A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established.
2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. Every charge must be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses.
Mathew 18:16 But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed.
Hebrews 10:28 Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

An Example of Many

In the account of the Long Day of Joshua, the reference of the "sign" is spoken about in both 2 Kings 20:8-11 and 2 Chronicles 32:24-26.

2 Kings 20:8-11
10 Minutes backwards in time.
8 Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, “What will be the sign that the Lord will heal me and that I will go up to the temple of the Lord on the third day from now?” 9 Isaiah answered, “This is the Lord’s sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?” 10 “It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps,” said Hezekiah. “Rather, have it go back ten steps.” 11 Then the prophet Isaiah called on the Lord, and the Lord made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
2 Chronicles
32:24-26
24 In those days Hezekiah was sick even unto death: and he prayed unto Jehovah; and he spake unto him, and gave him a sign. 25 But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem. 26 Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of Jehovah came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
